Sorry, no offense, but in this picture of John, this man looks 50 years old at least, if not 53, 54. Either hard drugs or hard living too. Yes, he could be your father.....now.

Of course, I was born when my father was 42, so I reckon I got the last of the working chromosomes. Ah! No wonder. But yes, I am 52; 72 now would be a reasonable age for one to be my father. My real dad would have been 94 this June.......

I found somewhere, also, that Smith is one of the most common names that Romani people assumed in England and Germany. Well, it's a common name, but it is also a translation of their own common version of it, well I guess that follows form the idea of there being so many tinsmith's, etc, but, well.... My mother's maiden name was Smith....... and I have hit a major dead end in the genealogy..... Smith is incredibly common, you are correct.

PID/PIA/PWR --it's all terribly vague and anybody's guess. The guesses are fun sometimes but nothing ever leads to anything else, so, you know, it's all a guessing game.

Sorry Doc, I hope you didn't misunderstand me, I meant here in the South East of England there are a few large gypsy families, one of whom just happen to be called Smith.

Because it's the most common English name.

I was a member of this board under the screen names of paulumbo and 8749. I started a blog about the Paul mystery on April 30, 2009. The blog has alot of original and (as they say on book covers) thought-provoking research that readers here might be interested in. Can I post the web address?

The web address is: www.whoburiedpaul.blogspot.com As I find things, I post them so sometimes I offer alternative views. But the idea is to get to the truth and I'm adding bits and pieces to the puzzle. Please comment on anything that looks relevant. Civil comments, please. ---paulumbo

In my post of September 3, 2010, I showed an image of the Time magazine caricature of the Beatles with real Paul leaning back and appearing dead, holding a yellow rose. There may be a connection between the Rose D'or festival and Paul. More coming up. ---paulumbo. yeah, I can see a high probability of connection. Now in the NaveNow, You belong to Heaven and the stars spell out the name, the Grace that placed itself when lives were torn apart. Don't miss the the Wings of compasSion!
