"22. the elephant is given to libra because equilibrium is the basis of the universe. the symmetry of any animal is of the nature of libra and so we may place in this group any animals which make symmetrical patterns; as for instance the spider. but even the spiders which live in the earth build their houses with a great regularity."

its weird. i cant recall any beatles songs referencing insects. even animals are rare - seemingly inspired by india and set in the white album. its really trivial at first until you think about it. rocky racoon buffalo bill and the tigers. im sure there are plenty. hey bulldog. all of them later post pepper. please prove me wrong if any come to mind.
anyway. i read something in 777 earlier and was going to quote it but didnt mark or remember what it was about. this is a random quote which is really not random at all. i just saw the elephants memory playing in madison square garden. two bassists two drummers. notice the man playing the blond p bass is clearly jesus christ. although im sure he has another name.
this is not such a random quote. john lennon was a libra. at least thats the idea. in reality he would be a virgo but the times are changing so we can let it slide. this performance at the end of august - the end of the summer - takes about three songs until the induction is complete. at which point the magic begins.
its around this time you become familiar with the christ-like musician in the shadows and it all seems to be flowing together quite nicely. you realize this guy is probably their friend - hes not really a musician at all but - of course he is. it gets intense when yoko stands to sing woman is the nigger of the world. she maintains this intensity and the elephants memory pumps out this mantra we were born in a prison. "i want to get out!".
its alchemical theatre. even though after all this the man didnt give yoko a beer. she didnt even think to ask but john did. and she knew john wouldnt mind if she had some of his. the next time you see the keyboards theres a beer can resting there. they got her her own beer. this probably sounds like nonsense. it isnt. it has to do with what leary said about sgt pepper being a "deprogramming session".
its related to what yoko was saying about the bottom movie. you have all the intellectuals giving excuses for why they are participating in the thing. they have to rationalize it. they are hung up on sin. there needs to be some explanation for why they uncomfortable. perhaps if they explain it that will make them comfortable. thats not going to do it. maybe if you slip them some LSD you could "deprogram" them into realizing how all these explanations are futile.
if you listen to johns primal screams its uncomfortable. its uncomfortable when another person expresses their pain. especially an intangible pain like the frustration that results from a hang up - or repressing something because it is traumatic. the basic concept involved in "deprogramming" is that underneath all these shells and triggers there is void. this void is the unity people talk about. in truth it is a great emptiness. once youve experienced the terrifying realization that there is no identity - that we live in a world of shells - you know that all humanity has to depend on is itself. this is what is understood to be the root of "buddhist nihilism". that god is not a deity but a concept by which we measure our pain. this is a christian understanding because it implies christs sacrifice. but the true christian concept is that we we born in a prison. we fell from grace.
most people do everything because it gets them high in one sense or another. they get off on their activities. people think youre weird if you always return to this process of clearing yourself of trauma as a basis for conversation. people dont like it. this is one reason i occasionally turn to the dark side. one reason is my activities always require that i stay up for obscene amounts of time and i resent what i perceive as laziness in others. more than laziness it is a lack of imagination & enthusiasm.
fear is the enemy. but fear exists within you. heaven is there too. so there is a war taking place within the "human being" between the forces of fear and the forces of heaven. to take this out of the metaphysical realm you can think of fear as playing the same role as satan - the adversary. the creator of dissent and an uncertain populace. uncertainty & chaos.
its funny. satan brings out the hang ups in people and jesus heals them. burn it clean.
