Temple Liston en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KirklistonThe oldest surviving building in Kirkliston is the church (hence the first half of the village's name). Parts of this building are over 800 years of age. Many details are rare examples of late 12th century "Norman Transitional" architecture The building was remodelled in 1883 by R Rowand Anderson a prominent Edinburgh architect. Originally belonging to the order of Knights Templar, the village was historically called Temple Liston.

the code... why does everyone that makes these video claim they have cracked a code and will disclose it on a certain day. okay. we all need something to believe in. "supermen". i didnt call it a code. why do people making these videos insist on breaking codes? there must be a million. i think its more like an idea. having thoughts and realizations is so rare they must be amplified to cosmic proportions and turned into some kind of fetish. in one of those videos there is a deranged person speaking and then a date. i imagine murder. its pointless. the most fascinating part is something i learned from film - if the audience has no prior knowledge of a subject you can get away with murder. but if youre talking bullshit physics to an astronomer theyre going to know. its not art. its warfare. and i dont like it.

Well said Sea Salt. PID is the religion that just keeps giving. If we had more sense we'd be better occupied elsewhere.

Beacon, did you know you ended up on the Macca Report? (scroll down about 1/4 way) themaccareport.com/news/may12.htmJess brings up an interesting question: So, while they were busy touring the world, playing concerts, writing songs, recording albums, conducting interviews, attending photo shoots, making films, writing books (Lennon), attending parties etc., they also had time to study hidden knowledge about the origins of Christianity, learn the secrets of the Freemasons, discover the history of the Knights Templars and/or the occult connections of the Illuminati to whom they had become exposed, and search for knowledge and understanding of life, death, reality, and meaning, possibly by studying Crowley. And only a very small handful of instances where one of them was unable to perform, during all those years? Just asking... and wondering if they ever had to time sleep. No wonder they recorded “I’m So Tired”.

Linus, thanks for the heads up, My best angle too, without a doubt! Jess brings up an interesting question: So, while they were busy touring the world, playing concerts, writing songs, recording albums, conducting interviews, attending photo shoots, making films, writing books (Lennon), attending parties etc., they also had time to study hidden knowledge about the origins of Christianity, learn the secrets of the Freemasons, discover the history of the Knights Templars and/or the occult connections of the Illuminati to whom they had become exposed, and search for knowledge and understanding of life, death, reality, and meaning, possibly by studying Crowley. And only a very small handful of instances where one of them was unable to perform, during all those years? Just asking... and wondering if they ever had to time sleep. No wonder they recorded “I’m So Tired”. Absolutely valid points, all of them. Someone outside of the band clearly was the instigator of the code, someone who also wanted to wrestle control of the band from Brian Epstein. My favourite suspect for a long while has been Robert Fraser - though Barry Miles or any of the Indica cabal are also worthy of consideration - but, to be fair I cannot prove it. The primary purpose of the book is to establish that the Sgt Pepper code exists. Although undoubtedly some of my leads are dead ends, I believe the book does that. Beyond that I hope to provoke those of an enquiring imposition to look for and discuss other possibilities. I had high hopes this forum may assist in that direction, however, with some exceptions, most people seem to be set along their own paths and do not wish to engage in an on-going investigation. So, to conclude, whilst all your points are totally valid, this forum is prepared to accept that in the midst of all the touring, song-writing, film-making, book-writing, press conferences, drug taking, groupie shagging et al that was undoubtedly going on, a Beatle - possibly all - could die, a replacement could be discovered, surgically altered, be trained as an (almost) perfect mimic, blend (almost) seamelessly into the biggest band the world has ever known and then go on to become a greater and more prolific song writer than the man he replaced and none of this be noticed until some stoned students grasp the relevance of the clues the Beatles have been leaving on their record covers! This forum happily accepts all that but that something can't be embedded into the cover of Sgt Pepper's because the band were too busy - please! All I know is something is going on and I am just embarking on a voyage to try and discover what that is. Any help and assistance gladly appreciated.

You bring up many good points, too. And I too am searching to find out who was behind the Beatles.
“most people seem to be set along their own paths and do not wish to engage in an on-going investigation.” (Perhaps that combined with coming to dead ends is why so many people stop researching this, and conversations grow stagnant.)
Like Jessbottles asked a couple weeks ago, “What if all the Pauls and Fauls came forward?” and I replied, “How many people still wouldn’t believe it?”
There’s one thing more powerful than truth, and that’s disbelief. This last year has led me to come up with the phrase, “Just because something is true doesn’t mean people will believe it.” I see so many people say, "I just want the truth. Just give me truth." Well, from what I've found, what they really mean is, "Just give me what I'm willing to accept." But, I guess like some say, we’ll probably find out eventually, one way or the other.
And like Maxwell said, “I love their work, but I don’t idolize my idols.” That is the best way to start towards the truth of this mystery. Idolization will hinder your research and what you’re willing to accept. Like you pointed out, the usual, clunky PID paradigms and premises just aren’t working anymore. But it seems people are starting to scratch the surface of other explanations. One has to be objective, unbiased and thorough if they expect their research to get anywhere. If one has any parameters or thresholds for what they’re willing to accept, they are going to leave a lot of stones unturned. But I guess the problem is that only the die-hard fans are the ones that are going to dedicate any time to this. (this isn’t aimed at any one person.)
There’s a million other things I could say about the PIA/PID Beatles universe, but in the spirit of keeping the thread on topic, I will just say I regret that I’m still technologically unable to read your book, and hope to soon.
Also, have you read The Gospel According to the Beatles by Steven Turner? Some good stuff on Sgt. Pepper’s in there.

Any help and assistance gladly appreciated. Beacon! What help do you need? This forum is so scattered as to information and discussions over many years (and i am a newcomer to Nothing) that it's all a blur really, and i can nearly find nothing when i search ... it's kind of TMI really. I'll give you a straight answer if i have it, though it might be sent privately messaged. So i just follow the latest thread and read something when it's brought up from the caverns. Did you listen to the music in the vid i posted in a thread re SUNSSOL? Identify it? I think we're all kind of in our own worlds here, yes? In any case the angle is fine! Love your hair. Best wishes! Help in finding new clues in Sgt Pepper and different ways of interpreting them, i am guilty of being slightly blinkered in this, is what I would like Jess. P.S. if anyone wants a pdf of the Sgt Pepper Code just send me a personal message with an email address and I will send you a copy.

Sgt Pepper Collage Auction www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/news/original-sgt-pepper-collage-by-sir-peter-blake-expected-to-fetch-80000-at-auction-8199360.htmlA slice of Beatles' history goes on sale next month when the original collage designed by Sir Peter Blake for the insert of the band's Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is auctioned.
A copy of the design, which depicts the character of Sergeant Pepper, was included in the original release and intended for fans to cut out and keep.
James Rawlin, Sotheby's senior specialist in modern British paintings, said: "Sir Peter Blake's collage is a tangible slice of rock history. Sgt Pepper had a huge impact on the cultural landscape. It was the first concept album, when music, story, image and studio expertise all came together. In this work we witness the creation of the eponymous Sgt Pepper himself, with his familiar accoutrements of moustache and sergeant's stripes, originally intended for fans to cut out and keep."
The collage comes from the collection of architect Colin St John "Sandy" Wilson and is expected to fetch around £80,000 in the sale on 13 November at Sotheby's.
The work was presented to Wilson's wife by Sir Peter shortly after it was completed.

Lennon's Ghost - Blue Meanies I recently came across a gem of a clip, dating back to the Anthology days, of Paul McCartney discussing Free as a Bird. In the clip McCartney discusses the use of reversed messages in Beatles tunes - something he describes as Beatles clues rather revealingly - and then talks about the one they inserted into Free as a Bird. Having discussed this the camera appears to become afflicted by a bizarre blue apparation which McCartney immediately decides is the spectoral spirit of the departed Lennon giving his blessing to proceedings. It is not my best editorial work, it being rather rushed and I may well return to it at a later date, however, it is an extremely interesting piece of video which merely confirms my widely held belief that The Beatles were encoding hidden messages and symbolism into their work.
