I think the article is fantastic! Well worth the read. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_i0oqoKUhAI would say that Mark seems to have a wider mouth and lips than John did, but.... who knows?

I've often thought that the purpose of the website alledging that John Lennon was shot by Stephen King was to suggest, subtly, that the death was fiction; a horror story, for sure, but fiction, like something written by Stephen King. www.lennonmurdertruth.com/index.asp

Interesting question to ask if he faked his own death, or did the system fake his death? I ask this question because, like so many celebs who become, I hate to use the term, past their prime, who are not selling records, or touring, but they are still icons of their generation....that the "powers that be" fake a death in order to sell records? This was talked about with Elvis and Michael Jackson. Perhaps they did not fake their own death, but their "handlers" staged it so they money could start flowing back in their stingy pockets and make them richer...while the star disappears from view, and the masses think they died, and buy the music...and get interested in them again. I think that the image of Lennon became one of a radical type and maybe the handlers wanted to cash in on the old icon of him as a mop top and just have people gain interest enough to buy the records....even if they may not have been some his better works, they bought it up just to have a piece of the icon.
It's a curious thing when someone gets so big...yet as time goes by their image fades...and someone wants to make money off them....

I tend to think it is in THE CONTRACT that probably everyone in show business signs. If we could read one of these contracts than it would probably clear up most of the confusion on these websites. Of course much of it may not be written down (at least in a form we could understand) so it can be kept secret. It is a "deal with the Devil" because God (a woman) gave people talent and the Devil (or the "man") makes them rich. As has been mentioned before Elvis, Jim Morrison, Michael Jackson and John Lennon and others may have faked their death and retired. Retirerment may be at the request of the artist and/or the company (I don't know, I am just speculating). Royalties may be payed out as usual.

A bit more reguarding this contract. I tend to think that some people (Keith Moon, Bon Scott, John Bonham, Hendrix come to mind)outright VIOLATE the terms in the contract and they are TERMINATED! Others (Chuck Berry, Lttle Richard come to mind) do not sign the contract so their careers never really go anywhere. Of course this is just speculation but my point is VERY LTTLE happens by accident in show business and NOBODY gets to the top without knowing the score!

Was this that they would NOT sign the contract? How do certain people, with little talent and can't sing, yet loads of confidence apparently, can stay at the top for DECADES? When there is so much competition out there, how does a small group of "superstars" manage to have a job for life?

Interesting B, thanks. I've seen the movie, and yes it is eerie in the sense you could believe this was really Lennon hiding somewhere all these years. It's funny, because they hit that part on the head, but as a whole it comes across as an amateur video. Which is the premise I know, but.. Our friend Apollo used to say "think Canada" on more than one occasion.. (regarding where someone went, whoever that was)

Some of the clauses might be #1 MUST pretend to be JPM far, far longer than any sane man would do it! #2 MUST be vegatarian even though the chances that JPM would be vegetarian are virtual ZERO. #3 MUST be against fracking (or any other trendy protest) even though you are a billionaire and don't really care! #4 MUST pretend to be incredibily talented even though you may not written most of the songs you sing. What a nightmare!

Well that's what I always thought. I don't know Hotman, it's one of those things he threw out there on occasion.

You are all wrong as John did not fake his death; he was gone but the one who died in 1980 was an impersonator.

just saying this, I didn't fake my death. I am dead, that is the end of it. I had no reason to fake my death, the FBI killed me Mark is just given the blame.
