Tim - the "harpazo", "catching away", "rapture", whatever you want to call it was a mystery which was revealed to Paul. Early church leaders believed and taught a pre-tribulation rapture (even if the word "rapture" was not a part of their vernacular. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 51
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.~ ~ ~ The idea is perfectly Biblical. Before the ascension of Christ, Jesus told his Disciples that He had to go and prepare a place for His believers, then He would come back for them, and that they would not be subject to wrath. We read about this in John 14:3, 1 Thess. 5:9 and Rev. 3:10. It also follows the anecdote of a Jewish wedding. The father and bridegroom would go to the house of the father of the bride. The bridegroom's father would pay a purchase price. Then there would be a betrothal period, and the father and bridegroom would go back home where the bridegroom would build an chamber or extension onto his father's house. About a year later, the father would tell his son to go get his bride, and the bridegroom would go over to the house of the father of the bride and get her. Then the wedding would take place, the bridegroom and bride would go into the chamber and consummate the marriage, and then there would be a wedding feast lasting up to seven days. All of this falls in line Biblical teaching, for Jesus serves as the bridegroom and the Church serves as the bride. The rapture is like unto the bridegroom coming to get his bride and taking her back to his father's house for the wedding. It takes place just before seven year tribulation period. The Early Church Fathers taught and believed in Millennialism...not Pretribulationalism. Pretribulationalism was a concept unheard of before John Nelson Darby got it from a woman who claimed to be channelling an angel! That woman made the unheard of claim that Christ could come back at any time and take the true Church of The Plymouth Brethren to heaven. Notice here...it was claimed only those of The Plymouth Brethren would go to heaven with Jesus at His return...not Catholics or other Christian groups... because The Plymouth Brethren saw all of them as sinners. This claim made Darby famous... with The Plymouth Brethren afterwards being known as Darbyists. It was so popular that other Christian groups and pastors adopted it and propagated it as biblical fact. The Early Church believed Christ would come back to establish His Millennial kingdom of 1,000 years on Earth and lock Satan away until the 1,000 years were over ...and that the believers in Jesus would be changed into their higher Christ bodies to serve as rulers and judges on His behalf during His reign on Earth...not in Heaven! Do you really think that Aliester Crowley's father being a high ranking member of Darbys cult is really just a coincidence? * * * Again, the mystery of the Rapture came to Paul the Apostle; we read about it in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, 1 Cor. 15:50-51. Ephraim the Syrian in his writings in A.D. 373 alluded to the concept in a book called “Antichrist and the End of the World”. It indicated the Rapture was before the Tribulation. www.arewelivinginthelastdays.com/com/ephraem.htmThe Rapture was divulged in the writings of the Shepherd of Hermes, about 10 years after the Apocalypse was written by John. Some copies of the Bible included "The Shepherd of Hermes". In 1844 at St. Catherine Monestary near the foot of Mt. Sinai, a New Testament along with two other books was found. In “The Shepherd of Hermes” (A.D. 110) it is mention there was an escape to Tribulation. "On this account the Lord has sent His angel, who has rule over the beasts, and whose name is Thegri, and has shut up its mouth, so that it cannot tear you. You have escaped from great tribulation on account of your faith, and because you did not doubt in the presence of such a beast. Go, therefore, and tell the elect of the Lord His mighty deeds, and say to them that this beast is a type of the great tribulation that is coming. If then ye prepare yourselves, and repent with all your heart, and turn to the Lord, it will be possible for you to escape it, if your heart be pure and spotless, and ye spend the rest of the days of your life in serving the Lord blamelessly. Cast your cares upon the Lord, and He will direct them. Trust the Lord, ye who doubt, for He is all-powerful, and can turn His anger away from you, and send scourges" on the doubters. Woe to those who hear these words, and despise them: better were it for them not to have been born." www.earlychristianwritings.com/text/shepherd.htmlAlso, the concept of a pre-tribulation coming of Christ was taught by Dr. John Gill in 1748 and by Peter Jerihu in 1687.

If you want to write a song about the moon You want to write a spiritual tune Na na na na na na Yeah yeah yeah Then do it! Write a song about the moon (the title is a dead give-away!) (how many 'Pauls' / 'Beatles' ?)After you climb up the ladder of time The Lord God is near Face-to-face in the vastness of space Your words disappear And you feel like you’re swimming in an ocean of love And the current is strong But all that remains when you try to explain Is a fragment of song

"Days of Darkness" can occur with a Nuclear Winter. Excerpt from the Encyclopedia Britannica: www.britannica.com/science/nuclear-winterNuclear winter, the environmental devastation that certain scientists contend would probably result from the hundreds of nuclear explosions in a nuclear war. The damaging effects of the light, heat, blast, and radiation caused by nuclear explosions had long been known to scientists, but such explosions’ indirect effects on the environment remained largely ignored for decades. In the 1970s, however, several studies posited that the layer of ozone in the stratosphere that shields living things from much of the Sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation might be depleted by the large amounts of nitrogen oxides produced by nuclear explosions. Further studies speculated that large amounts of dust kicked up into the atmosphere by nuclear explosions might block sunlight from reaching the Earth’s surface, leading to a temporary cooling of the air. * * * *

None of the prophecies describe it that way (as a nuclear winter).
Rather it seems that, after a brief interruption, life goes on somewhat 'as normal' for some time afterwards.
In any event, nuclear war, as it has been 'traditionally' envisioned, is simply not permitted on the planet at this point!
This message has been repeated so often, implicitly and explicitly, both by word and example, that it amazes me that anyone can still believe that it will occur.
Higher beings, lower beings, inter-dimensional beings, and probably others as well, have made it abundantly clear that they will not allow it, even
if humans attempt it.

Of course one thing you do not mention is WHY there will be no nuclear war! #1 There are NO nuclear weapons and #2 the REASON there are no weapons is because the earth is DEAD FLAT and covered with a dome! If they used weapons like that the ENTIRE system would be poisoned!

As I was reading Perdurabo:The Life of Aliester Crowley (pages 11-12),I was blown away by the fact that Aliester Crowleys father (Edward Crowley) was a prominent and very high ranking member of John Nelson Darbys sect of Christian extremist fundamentalists called the Plymouth Brethren or Darbyists...the same ones who came up with and created The Rapture Theory or pretribulationism! WOW...my mind is blown! Tim - the "harpazo", "catching away", "rapture", whatever you want to call it was a mystery which was revealed to Paul. From Hal Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth" in the 80's to the present day...these rapture theorists just get more ridiculous as time passes with no Rapture Event. Not to mention more convoluted in their explanations as to why it hasn't happened yet. Sadly, many of these people will go to their graves after having lived all their lives believing in a fairy tale story.
