I brought this to a message board a few years back.. It was a lot more complex than what I am posting now, however I believe that this deserves more thought and study..
As you probably know already.. Jan Berry was in a car crash on Sunset Boulevard is Los Angeles in 1966.. The Beatles were touring L.A. at that time.
The Beatles often visited other performers when they were near them.. Take Jimmy Hindrex and Elvis for example.
The Beatles recorded the magical Mystery Tour Album. One of the songs was Blue Jay Way... Blue Jay Way was a street that overlooked Sunset Boulevard were Jan Berry had his accident.. It has been said that three people died in that crash and their names were never released to the public.. You know the words.. There's a fog upon L.A. and my friends have lost their way.. Another song on the Album was Fool on the Hill... The fool on the hill sees the sun going down (Sunset).
The words have a double meaning.. He saw sunset boulevard going down.. He saw Jan Berry's accident..
In the lyrics of the Walrus.. You have, sitting on a corn flake.. Berry's car crashed into the back of a parked farmers truck loaded with corn... waiting for the van to come.. Of course everyone know what that means.. However, he then says stupid bloody Tuesday.... The day of Jan Berry's accident became know as bloody Tuesday.. There are a lot of other songs that can fit into this scenario. I hope that you will do some due diligence on these thoughts.

Interesting theory, but his car accident was on April 12, 1966. We know Paul was alive at least until early Sep. Jan and DeanThey didn't finish recording Revolver until Jun 21, 1966. RevolverThe Beatles US tour wasn't until August of that year. They played in LA on Aug 28. The Beatles' 1966 US Tour

Yes, true.. If I may add another thought.. In the Strawberry Fields reprise. If you listen carefully.. I believe John is saying Jan Berry ?.. Perhaps Jan Berry's Fault or Jan Berry False.. Instead of Cran-berry sauce.. It doesn't even make sense that a band would be saying cranberry sauce as they claimed to be doing.. I believe it was a cover up of what John actually said. I'll throw this in extra.. The song Your Mother Should Know.. The lyrics say Let all get up and dance to a song, that was a hit before your Mother was born... So they are talking about an old song that was a hit before.. The really only hit song that Jan Berry had was Dead Man's Curve, before his accident.. Just food for thought.
