Simon and Garfunkel put a lot of "Paul is Dead" clues into their songs. "Mrs. Robinson" was one of the characters in a movie called "The Graduate", and the song was used for that movie, but the lyrics don't seem to have anything to do with what happened in the movie. In the song, "Mrs. Robinson" is obviously someone being welcomed to a mental-illness treatment facility (of that era). Why would Simon and Garfunkel have borrowed the "Coo Coo Ka Choo" from "I am the Walrus" for their song about Mrs. Robinson? Answer: because it references a Beatle, in some way. Of course, someone who is 'crazy' was also called "Coo-koo" back then. In the song "I am the Walrus" there is also the lyric "I am the Eggman", and since "Goo goo ba joob" heralds back to Humpty Dumpty (the egg) in "Through the Looking Glass", everyone makes that connection. Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall, and couldn't be put back together again. If "the walrus was Paul", as John tells us in another song, then "the eggman" would be Paul too: if the singer in 'I am the Walrus' is also 'the eggman'. And if the egg (man) cracked up (lost his mind) due to the pressure of being a Beatle, or whatever, he might well have been sent to a mental health facility for treatment. Disguised as a woman, perhaps(?), for anonymity's sake. Whether he was disguised as a woman or not, "Mrs. Robinson" kept her panties in the pantry with her 'cup cakes'. album cover for "It's Blitz" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album cover for "Show Your Bones" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (dead man; Sergeant etc.)Is this a bit far-fetched? Obladi oblada; it might be. But Neil Young wrote the following, speaking as Paul, in my humble estimation, in his song " Last Trip To Tulsa": "Well, I used to be a woman (someone tell hotman! )You know I took you for a ride ('took you all for a ride' - i.e. fooled you - about being dead)(then talking about Faul)I let you fly my airplane It looked good for your pride Cause you're The kind of man you know Who likes what he says I wonder what's it's like To be so far over my head " (tongue-in-cheek reference to Faul's intelligence) *And he wrote "Cowgirl in the Sand" (buried) about some body! So - getting back to "Mrs. Robinson" - yeah, it could be a 'PID/PWR' song. * This is a double entendre: He's being 'funny', because if he is ascended, he is also 'over Faul's head' even if Faul's intellect is 'over his head'.

Hi B! I was reading your previous post and I could not understand everything you said, I got lost in the translation. I want to learn more your language (English) to not miss anything of what you say. But it's too hard for me. Bad luck!. I will try to copy and paste the text in the google translator to see if I can understand everything you say. Excuse my English my brother. I hope with time to be able to understand more and more of your beautiful language. I really like the English language, it sounds good. And it is a universal language. God Bless You always as you are! P.S.: B... What "Bump" means?

"Bump" is when you want to make a thread show up at the top of the list on the front page of the forum. I had posted a fairly meaningless post in the "PID songs" thread, but I didn't want this ^ ^ ^ discussion to disappear. We have so many "expressions" in English. They are 'sayings' - words that mean something beyond what the words actually say. Looking at my post above, I can see why it was difficult to understand! took you for a ride - (played a trick on you!) over my head - (more than I can understand)

Now I'm going to read everything again to see if I understand more of this. But you tell me this is a very important clue? I am going to try that this thread does not stop then. With my poor English I will try it anyway.

Excuse me B! I do not know if I'm understanding this well but you're talking about the pressure of being a Beatle and the disease that this could bring as I understand it. Could Paul have been hospitalized for a treatment of mental illness instead of dying?
That would be a puzzle or a mental game! And it would not be William anymore. It would be Paul.
What PWR means?
Sorry, I do what I can, I do not know if this is well taken. It's just to keep the thread on! You will understand B!

Could Paul have been hospitalized for a treatment of mental illness instead of dying? Yes! I think that is what the song is hinting at. And it is also suggesting that maybe he was dressed as a woman to be in disguise.Yes. I think that the person speaking in the song is supposed to be Paul. We know it is actually Neil Young, but he's speaking as if he was Paul. (That last sentence isn't grammatically correct in English, but 'Google translate' will go nuts (act crazy) if I make it right! )PWR = Paul Was Replaced
