Seriously! I don't trawl the internet all day looking for doppelgängers. If you asked me what my research entailed, 90% of it could be categorised as "minding me own business, trying to get on with my life. So I was in the middle of doing that when I saw Floyd Mayweather in a shite beard that looked a mess. The volcano last night was incredible. The cone has just been blasted away, revealing a massive gaping hole of boiling over molten lava.
That Bushcraft Bear keeps hypercorrecting his V's to W's, "I'm looking over the walley now." What it is is they are hyperconscious of having a bad English accent and saying things like "Vat do you vant?" They become phobic of their own letter V. When they have to say a letter V in the English language they are predisposed to wanting to say, "What do you want?" They will mistakenly correct an incorrection, which makes it a hypercorrection
My ex-girlfriend who is now an English teacher in Hamburg taught me about that and ever since I've been doing a Mancunian hypercorrection. Mancunians pronounce bother "bovver" - TH's become V's or even F's especially among the lower classes. Classic example is Madchester band from the late 80's-early 90's The Northside, which is pronounced "Ver Norfside"
I get so conscious of pronouncing words like that, I often say things like, "Two distant lothers!" In my case it's not foreign language consciousness but class consciousness, because I was born and raised in the official "most deprived neighbourhood in the UK" in South Manchester. I can't recall hearing any other Mancunians doing this, and I really hate doing it, because it makes me feel like a phoney who wants to escape his upbringing. It could also be a consequence of me learning what hypercorrection was and seeing "Ver Northside" in print in The NME, when I was a subscriber to that mag at the time of Madchester. Not only am I suffering from class hyperconsciousness but also intellectual hyperconsciousness.

When it comes to being possessed by the devil, it's pointless making a distinction between witless members of the public who say the guy doing the moonwalk in 1983 is the real Michael Jackson, and cult members who know it's not but deceitfully play along with the deception. It's all demonic possession - demons being people possessed by the devil.
Finding one of these imposter replacements and separating them from the genuine person is to exorcise a demon. I can't describe what a blessing it is.
