Almost got struck by lightning yesterday. Didn't see the bolt land, but it was the flash and the noise at the same time so it was very close by. I was in the middle of a very stressful experience (private family matter; might tell you one day). At first I thought it was a sign of encouragement, and was promising earthquakes if I didn't get my way. Hours later when all the information was in, I had to admit I had failed a family member and now believe it was a sign saying, "Turn around you fool." I told my sister this and on the phone this morning, and she said, "Right, gotta go now" and put the phone down on me. I just know she'll be thinking it's a lack of psychoactive medicine in my system. I was just packing some stuff for the family member I had failed, and she gets the paper delivered so I was putting it in the package and on the front page was the headline "Lightning Strikes House Sparking Fire And Evacuation" and an image of a massive bolt of lightning hitting the house. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/incredible-video-captures-moment-lightning-22681419That happened earlier the same day, but reached the Evening News today. I consider it a warning to do better. Sod it I'll tell you. It was all about me trying to keep my mother out of hospital, but really she needed to be in hospital some months ago. She'd actually told me she wanted to go to hospital and I had said no. I've caused her loads of pain and suffering by not letting her get the care she needed or I could provide. I had murders yesterday with a doctor and two paramedics who eventually won and took her to hospital. I cycled to the hospital to get her out as soon as possible, and when I got there and got off my bike to lock it up "BOOOM!!" I'm just going to have to leave her in God's hands now. |
