I have some interesting, to say the least, correspondence between 'JL' & 'PM' from 1971 that I want to post on the forum. Unfortunately, I don't know how (I did once many moons back) to post this potentially knee-jerking, hand written comm. I wrote to someone on the board here asking for their email address so I could email the note---or the photo of the private note between the two lads that I don't think was intended to read by the public---jeez, I'd say that for sure---and I haven't heard back from this smarter than me person. My intention was to have the person I asked for their email address post this photo of the note.
Nothing sinister on my part, I assure you.
I think maybe I shouldn't have asked so directly for their email address, since the worldwide number of lying, scamming, rip-off POS's has been increasing exponentially in the recent days. So if anyone could help me to clearly understand how to post a photo on this site, I think I might be able to bring some probably unknown/unseen information out for everyone's discussion and enjoyment or maybe even sadness??. Sad, because it's gonna confirm something that has been debated since jump street. I think most will be slightly stung by seeing this private note between whomever the heck these two dudes were...thank you for any help that can be offered...

bandi, I told you in a private messeage to send me the internet address of the photo, and I would post it.
Rather than use e-mail, I said you should message me here with the address.
You did not respond.

how to post a photo on this site: Here is a photo. The way you post it on this site is as follows: 1. Right click on the picture. 2. Copy image address. 3. Open the window here to respond. At the top of the page you will see a bunchy of small boxes. In the bunch on the right you will see one box with a globe in it, another with an envelope, and then one with a picture in it. 4. Click on the one with the picture on it. 5. A box will open that says "Insert Image". In the space next to the words "Image URL" you will see the letters "http://". 6. Put your typing marker next to them, and backspace to erase them. When the space is empty, paste the image address that you copied in step 2. 7. Then hit the "Insert Image" button at the bottom of the box. It will close. 8. Hit the "Reply" button to post what you have to say here.

Pretty cool, just not sure what it's about. I think John had made a rough recording early on of this at home. Is that what he's referring to? Or something before that when with the other lads?

Hi Ramone,
What it's about is, it seems that JL (or whoever was playing the part of JL at that time--Dec. 1971)--must have came across a bootleg copy of the New Years Day 1961? audition that the group attended trying to get a recording contract with Decca Records.
As he tells it the recording was a bootleg and not the actual original tape (I don't think that's critically important at this point).
What seems very telling is how, in the note he tells the guy that's playing the part of JPM how he feels that "they were a good group".
Now, is it me? or does that part of the note sound as if he's talking aboot a band that didn't include either the writer or the receiver of the note ?
If these two guys were in the group doing the audition at Decca, wouldn't JL have written "we were a good group" or "remember how nervous we were" etc. or, wouldn't he have maybe said, "Jeez, remember how drunk we got at that bar we sat in right up til just before the audition?" instead of "they were a good group" ?
If people would discard the BS they've been told over and over for 60+ years, they'd be shocked beyond words, and they'd get REALLY pissed off at what took place.
Really pissed or really drunk.
Maybe both.
I hope others will contemplate this and not dismiss it.
