I came across these horselover phat blog links in our discussion about Apollo C Vermouth. They were in a response to a Redwel Trabant (aka "beacon" at this site) post.
"I have tried, at all cost, to stress that who I am, is not as important as to whom I am not. I am a "castle keep". There are some that believe me to be Sir Paul. Others, Bill. When dealing with Sgt. Pepper, keep in mind that we are dealing with a parody of a satire, based on a band that NEVER existed. In those terms, Dr. Leary was correct in saying, "This time around, you can be anybody you want."
John echoed the same in "I Dig a Pony." Just know that "I WAS" there." Apollo C Vermouth
Great blog. It's a shame he retired from blogging (although he did put a blog about music up recently). I don't think he ever addressed how many public figures have been replaced with lookalikes and the implications that has for a lot of the things he's talking about. Okay The Beatles are evil, but it's not the original Beatles throwing up the satanic gang signs - they can only be doing the bidding of the people who disappeared the originals and trained them up to replace them.
