I swear, everyone in the world seems to have a horrible cold right now. I am stuck here lying in bed with a mean case of "the sniffles" and a whole lot of achiness (sinus infection, ughhhh!) on a Friday night. I have had it for about a week and I can't seem to shake it! My voice is like 390248324 octaves lower than it should be, it's weird.
I am hoping that it gets better soon, as I am going to a Foo Fighters concert in Binghamton, NY next Saturday and I don't want to die! I am super excited for this as I have been a fan since I was just twelve years old yet I have not gotten to see a concert of theirs yet. I will probably pass out if I get to meet (and, at this rate, sneeze on?) Dave Grohl. Love him.
Sorry this is so long and boring. I've got nothing else to do as everyone else is either also sick or out having fun! Boo!

I was sick Tuesday and Wednesday and was so bad that I called off sick.
I had a splitting headache, joint and muscle aches, chills, indigestion and nausea.
It's going around...probably from chem trails.

Horrible. I am glad you are feeling better now! My boyfriend has been adorable and brought me soup and a get well card, but I'm still sad that I'm stuck here alone in bed for tonight!

I am grateful for you all! I think you're all lovely and brilliant, even though none of you have made me soup or anything. ;D

Get yourself the Orange flavor of Vitamin water called "Essential", and drink in sips over the course of a day or two. No other flavor works. You'll be fine for the concert.

Thank you for the advice!! I must be my best in order to successfully break up Mr. Grohl's marriage, or something... ;D

Do you know if he will be playing any Nirvana tunes, or would that be considered tacky?

While I would absolutely love that, I have the concert DVDs and it doesn't seem to be a trend in the concerts.

At the very first symptoms of a cold or something, I always start takin' mass quantities of Cold-Eze ... (it really works). So far so good, but I've been takin' lots of those AirBorn things & the new Alka-seltzer Immune Complex. Lots of that stuff & even more vitamins every day... wash it all down with a little whiskey. Seems to work for me. Oh ya..... and eat lots of jalopenos every day! I credit that with keepin' me well most of the time. Lots of folks sick around here too... there a virus goin' around that'll leave ya spewin' from both ends for about 2 weeks, so if all yer dealin' with is a bad cold..... it could be so much worse.

seems right now all I can comment on is this thresd - LOL - you guys are way ahead of me on the PID discussions But I have read some about Hydrogen Peroxide and it seems there are many uses for it. One place said that germs can enter through the ears and to try putting 3 drops of HP in each ear - one at a time ofr course. I have tried it and one ear bubbled. keep it in the ear for maybe 5 to 10 mins (i probably let the bubbling subside) - then drain it out. There were many testimonials from people saying it worked with them. You need to do it at first sign of a cold. Would be worth a try next time, along with whatever else you try. The only bad part about the HP was when it first went in and that was for only a second - the bubbling didn't bother me so much. Good luck !

Colloidal silver can be good. Cold Calm is good, but same thing-like many homeopathics, take at first sign. And watch out for coffee and mint. (though this is debatable as to their countereffect)

Yes good to have Colloidal Silver on hand.
When taking things for colds make sure it does not have artificial sweeteners in them. Aspartame is a killer and has been shown that it's toxic effects can mimic serious diseases like MS and others. I have read about Splenda and it isn't much better. Just be careful.

Yes HP is said to work 80% of the time and is always worth a try. Its works best if you catch it early. I was having a problem with reoccurring sinus infections and had read where ice cream could be the problem, I thought thats funny cause I get sick and then eat ice cream! So I've stopped eating ice cream and haven't had one since. It works or maybe its cause they've been cutting back on chemtrail spraying over my home lately. I dunno, anywaze no more ice cream for me.

You want the aspartame to go directly into the brain if possible. That's when the medicinal effects are the strongest. What ya need is a glass top table or mirror, a razor blade a dollar bill and...

Hydrogen Peroxide sounds like a really scary thing to put directly into my ear--I'm a complete wuss! If my ear started bubbling, I am sure I would freak out! Thank y'all for the suggestions, you are such lovely, lovely people!

Thank y'all for the suggestions, you are such lovely, lovely people! I don't know about the peroxide thingy myself. I don't know if I could handle my ears bubbling..it's bad enough when my brain does that.... I make up a nasal spray of purified water, sea salt, xylitol ( a natural sweetener that kills bacteria) and a few drops of grapefruit seed extract. All that stuff sprayed up your nose and inhaled into the throat keeps the germs away because many illnesses happen because the throat gets dry. It is good with sinus infections. This may sound gross, but I lean my head and as much as my nose can take of the spray poured in, and it flushes all the "goo" out of your nasal passages. It's best to have a towel or kleenex handy to catch all the goo and fluids that may come out. It may also drain in the back of your throat, but it's cleaning out all of that yucky stuff. nuff said, I thought Miss Vaggie may have recommended Steamed Asparagus Soup with a hint of mint.

I have that in my car right now ! ;D I drank the very first "Essential vitamin water" that I have every had yesterday. I bought one, and came home to see THIS post....odd. Bizarre. I am on a cosmic schedule. However, I had a purple one.

Well then it's not the one I'm talking about, because the only the orange flavor is called "Essential". The purple one would have some other name like "Vitality" or "Alertness" or some other tag. But good for you anyway. No more Bailey's?

I have been staying in like a good (read: boring) girl, but I have run out of cough drops and cold medicine so I'm out to go pick up some of that Vitamin Water as well as some other stuff in a little while. I hope it helps!

I was looking at Foo Fighter lyrics, speaking of Dave Grohl. This one looks like it might be pretty close to home for this board (lyrically): The Pretender (Foo Fighters) See it/hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKhnmUdmz74Keep you in the dark You know they all pretend Keep you in the dark And so it all began Send in your skeletons Sing as their bones come marching in...again They need you buried deep The secrets that you keep are at the ready Are you ready? I'm finished making sense Done pleading ignorance That whole...defense Spinning infinity, boy The wheel is spinning me It's never-ending, never-ending Same old story What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the pretender What if I say I will never surrender? What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the pretender What if I say that I'll never surrender? In time our soul untold I'm just another soul for sale... oh, well The page is out of print We are not permanent We're temporary, temporary Same old story What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the pretender What if I say that I'll never surrender? What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the pretender What if I say I will never surrender? I'm the voice inside your head You refuse to hear I'm the face that you have to face Mirrored in your stare I'm what's left, I'm what's right I'm the enemy I'm the hand that will take you down Bring you to your knees So who are you? Yeah, who are you? Yeah, who are you? Yeah, who are you? Keep you in the dark You know they all pretend What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the pretender What if I say that I'll never surrender? What if I say I'm not like the others? What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the pretender What if I say that I'll never surrender? What if I say I'm not like the others? (Keep you in the dark) What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays (You know they all... pretend) You're the pretender What if I say I will never surrender? What if I say I'm not like the others? (Keep you in the dark) What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays (You know they all... pretend) You're the pretender What if I say I will never surrender? So who are you? Yeah, who are you? Yeah, who are you?
