I found the following post on another board. It's a list of strange coincidences between INXS and AC/DC. (
Makes you think a little bit about PID too.)

A friend of mine,a lighting technician who has worked with quite a few big acts sent me the following similarities between ACDC and INXS. Its actually kinda bizzare. What do you think?
First Brian Johnson as many know is from Britian and Britian is part of the British Commonwealth.
JD Fortune is from Canada and Canada is also part of the British Commonwealth.
Brian Johnson is from a place named NEWcastle England.
JD Fortune is listed on this show as being from NEW Glasgow,Canada.
Both Singers come from places in the british empire with the word NEW is the name. does this mean NEW SINGER.
Brian Johnson was 32 years old when he was chosen by the australian band AC DC to be there lead singer
JD Fortune is 32 years old right now becoming the new singer of inxs.
Both singers have replaced australian singers who died in their 30's under mysterious circumstances that are debated by fans to this day.
Both replacement singers were younger then the original singer they replaced. Believe or not Brian johnson was younger then Bon Scott by about ten months.
Brian Johnson's singing abilities were brought to the attention of AC-DC's management by a FAN from chicago.
JD Fortune singing abilities are being brought to the attention of INXS in a contest with a singer from Chicago.
Both AC DC and INXS have three brothers of a family involved in the operation of their bands.
Jon, Andrew and Tim are the Ferris Brothers of INXS
Angus , Malcolm and George (who has played bass on tracks early and produced many of their albums including ac dc's last ) are the Young brothers of AC DC.
None of those six brothers out of eleven people in the two bands are Lead Singers or Bass Players onstage of their bands.
An interesting note on ACDC is that all three Young brothers were born in Glasgow,Scotland which is the original namesake of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia the hometown of Jason Dean Fortune.
Both bands after this contest will have had three new persons entering the band since the early deaths of their original singers
Brian Johnson, Chris Slade and Simon Philips having come into ACDC . Terrace Trent D'arby, Jon Stevens and JD Fortune coming into inxs.
Two of the new members have also left both bands Chris Slade(drummer) and Simon Philips(drummer) for AC DC.
Terrace Trent D'arby (singer) and Jon Stevens (singer) for INXS .
in in other words ACDC has replaced no one but drummers since Bon Scotts death and INXS has replaced no one but singers since Micheal Hutchence Death
Now an other very strange set of parallels is the choice of
producers or rather their nationalities for the first twenty five years of each band (I exclude live recordings and great hits packages). The first four releases for both bands where produced by australians. the next three were produced by the same british producers for each release (mutt lange for acdc and chris thomas for inxs) both the english producers had the largest amount of sales for these bands for their albums for any release before and or after. The next period saw australians again producing both bands until the next change of nationality which at the end of twenty years for inxs and twenty five years for ac dc was a canadian and that in the name of Bruce Fairbuirn. The Bruce Fairbuirn releases were considered come back CD's.
INXS and AC DC have something else in common as of the next inxs release with the use ot the word "switch" in the title of.ACDC released a album in 1983 named "flick of the switch" I have searched hi and low and the only cd by an artist of any note is the chemical brothers with the word swtich in it with the release of"Flip the switch".
Both bands are now on Epic records.
Very very spooky stuff
