First really nasty cold front of the season came down from Canada today, brrrrrrr!!! Hey Doc, I heard it will go all the way down south where you are, you'll get a taste of what we New Englanders have to live with for the next few months.. I just saw an article in the paper about guys who go out surfing off the NH coast even when it's like this this! That's NUTS! Yeah, they wear a wetsuit, but still..

I wouldn't know, I haven't been outside in months. Joking. Actually, yes, it is quite cold.

Yeah, JoJo, sorry about that... for sending that nasty weather down your way... I hate winter. Two snowfalls, and the roads are absolute chaos. I think maybe it should only snow on Christmas Eve, and be gone by Boxing Day. Wonder what Christmas is like in Hawaii?

Yes, in fact it was gracious a-'plenty cold to-Day! Brrrr!!! But, it won't snow. It doesn't REALLY hardly ever snow in Atlanta anymore. ait did when I was a kid. LIke, somewhere in the late 60's it quit snowing. It's either freeze your tail off cold with blue skies, or buttermilk skies; or we get these dreadful ice storms. The roads become tracherous; trees fall, power goes out (for as long as 2 weeks in some nighborhoods back in the 70's) and it's generally just icky. Snow, the wonderful, fluffy, old fashioned kind, is wonderful. Ice on the powerlines, roofs and everything else in tarnation, s*cks. I feel like I jus' wanns sing down into a cuppa hot chocolate. And, glory, be, here at NIR, thanks to the graphics, I can! It's decaf. Don't worry. Sorry to be so graphic. HO HO HO!

One thing good about west TX is the cold snaps don't last long. Give it a couple of days & it's be sunny & warmer again. I couldn't handle living up there where it gets cold & stays that way for a while. This is a good time of year to go to Cozemel Mexico & drink margaritas on the beach!

COLD, JoJo, thanks for asking...
It's TERRIBLE here! We're enjoying a nice blizzard right now, and in about one hour I have to go pick up my daughter from school... that means I'll have to start the car in about 1/2 hr so the engine won't CRACK!
And last night, I noticed some lovely frosty icicles that had formed on the INSIDE of my balcony doors... anyone see that movie, "The Day After Tomorrow"??
Last year, we even had snow in May, about a week before planting season was supposed to start... enough already!
Also, remember last year even in Greece it snowed... what is with this wacky weather?
I used to enjoy all kinds of winter sports, but now it seems I only go out when I have to...
Yes, it's official, folks: HELL HAS FROZEN OVER!

Brrrrrrr!!! It's freezing cold here today too and we also got 2 inches of snow! Nice, powdery snow but not fun to drive in. As I was cleaning the snow off my car, getting ready to go home from work, all of a sudden a bunch of fireworks lit up the sky near the Washington monument! In three different places and it was really cool. These are Inauguration fireworks if anyone is wondering. I don't remember there being that many fireworks for 4th of July! And it was weird seeing fireworks and snow on the ground at the same time.

Yes, it's official, folks: HELL HAS FROZEN OVER! I feel your pain.. I work outside mostly, imagine that! In the warm months, it's an enviable position, but now...ughh! I'm near the coast, so it's the warmest part of the state, but when I think of you folks up north of us, I can't even imagine...

That sounds rough! Sunny & 60's-70's around here these days. I think another ice cold brewski's in order! I hardly ever work outdoors coz all my jobs come from an INTERIOR decorator. Which is cool coz exterior paints too often involve ladders & I hate heights.

Here in Colorado it was in the low 60's today. Can't complain. Thursday's high is supposed to be 70. The temps here can swing quite a bit this time of year.

I saw the Weather Channel--you had it nice today, yea, boi!
In Atlanta we're in the long lined coats. It gets down there--surprisingly. But it aint too bad-I ain't complainin'.
I like the cold. I would probably enjoy Norway. Take a nice walk in a parka..

That must've been different.... Yeah, in the summer that's cool... what do you do? Raspberries to all you lucky tropical birds! Goin' down to minus 29 here tonight... wind chill factor, minus 38.... YEESH! Wow, I'd be in a tank top and shorts at 60 degrees... Believe me, Doc, it ain't all it's cracked up to be, especially day in/day out. Trade places with ya anytime... you can wear my parka. hehe But you would never know how cold it is here by the way the young girls dress... most of them, skimpy waist-length jackets, no hats, usually sneakers rather than proper boots... it's crazy. See them shivering at the bus stop. They tell me they can't be all covered up and still look good.

Well, heheh, OK, sorry you guys are so cold, but remember, it all turns around in August.
While you have your nice 84, low humidity stuff in certain areas, we're at 98+ with 94% humidity. And high particulates and pollution. (But, not always)
Anyway, I hope everybody has whatever they need to brave the weather and the low temperatures.

We had about a 30 degree drop around here so it was nice & sunny yesterday, but it stayed in the 30's most of the day. Brrrr... I thought I was gonna get frostbite while hanging laundry out on the clothesline yesterday mornin'. I don't guess you can get frostbite from it bein' in the 30's can ya? ...Well... that's cold to me!
I think I'm too far north, here in Texas... maybe I should be living in Cozamel Mexico! Drinking margaritas on the beach would be a great way to spend the day today.
