I'm glad I had studied facial muscles and bones in Cosmetology, because knowing muscular and bone structures of face for doing facial massage, or else I would not have understood what was being "worked on" in this short article.
I have also seen programs on tv regarding people getting plastic surgery and it amazes me what can be done. Removing fat, chiseling down prominent bones to be less "prominent". Putting implants in receding areas like jawlines and chins. Cheekbone implants as well as lyposuction. I've even heard where they removed fat from a woman's behind and injected in in parts of her face, including her lips. Not joking here. Although it would sound like a joke.
When a person ages, the skin thins, facial muscles sag, fat deposits in certain areas, perhaps someone had been heavy and lost weight and loose skin. Alot of things to keep plastic surgeons in business.
Not to mention the corrective surgery that is being done on people who have had facial deformities due to birth defects, as well as those who have been maimed by criminal acts or from car/or other vehicular accidents.
It's amazing what can be done.
Thinking about all of this, even someone with a prominent brow, there can be surgery to diminish some of that to look more "normal". Whatever "normal" is in any particular culture.
With all this being said, these things are done to enhance or correct a problem, something for a good cause. But what about the deceptive work by secret government operations to change the image of criminals, or other operatives?
We are but scratching the surface.
