I'm testing out the Firefox browser. It runs this site a lot faster, especially the animations. Might be worth a try for any IE users out there. The only downsides are the plugins are a bit trickier to install, and it doesn't support the latest versions of the Yahoo or Google toolbars. Another option to speed up IE is to turn off the Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Multimedia/'Play animations in web pages' option. If you can live without the animations, this works pretty well.

I fixed the animated gif speed issue with IE by getting a new graphics card (ATI 9200). I was using the built-in one on the motherboard which was lame. Now the only problem is the refresh rate is stuck at 60Hz! EDIT: Found the problem. ATI set the maximum refresh at 60Hz. Reset it to 100 using their control panel.
