Back in the Mac OS 6.x days, there was this amazing puzzle game called "Fool's Errand". Sadly, once Apple went to system 7, the game didn't work, or at least not correctly. I spent weeks on that darned thing, finally solving the sun puzzle. Well anyway, the author Cliff Johnson has made downloads available for free at his web site that now work on modern Macs. www.fools-errand.com/A wandering Fool seeks his fortune in the Land of tarot in The Fool's Errand and braves the enchantments of the High Priestess. this 1987 award winning game was the first computer metapuzzle, a rare blend of storytelling, playful hands-on visual puzzles, and cryptic treasure map.The soundtrack is no more unfortunately, something about how Apple rewrote the way sound is produced. Little bit of cryptography in these puzzles, amongst other things.. Mac users can just download and get started right away, there's another step for Windows.
