Oh dear, my insomnia is making my memory a bit weak, so I might change my answers, but for right now: 1. I think, "Paul's a dead man. Miss him..." is up there because I consider it to be a landmark clue in a way. 2. As in the cover? Abbey Road. 3. I lilke the notion that much of "A Day In The Life" could be biographical. Good thread idea.

What's your Favorite Lyric clue? 1.I'd give anything to know how they made "#9#9#9" say "turn me on dead man" when reversed. I may have to spend some time using some good studio software & figure that out myself one day. 2.The entire Sgt.P front cover 3. I guess this may be a bit controversial, coz I don't think it's been decided by everyone that's what it sez.... but I'm gonna say my fave is the little "BTW.. Paul is dead" on Rinse The Raindrops.

1. In total agreement with EB on this one "turn me on dead man!"
2. The walrus was Paul - The reflected Walrus within the palm tree and Diana Dors on Sgt. Pepper is a great example of obvious inserted clues.
3. In the context of the rest of the verse; "Nobody was really sure if he was from the House of PAUL!" ;D

Wasn't the album with the candelabra (and the one snuffed-out candle) on the cover released during the PID excitement of 1969 by some independent company not affiliated with the Beatles or EMI as a means of capitalizing on that excitement? If so, I don't think that it would qualify as a "clue". My answers are: 1) Real Love ("Paul, we used to sing with him/Paul he used to sing with me") 2) The left-handed guitar on the gravesite with three strings on it and shaped so as to make the word "Paul" 3) "There's a fog upon LA" [glow=red,2,300] "Paul"[/glow] "And my friends have lost their way" [glow=red,2,300] "died"[/glow]

Turn me on dead man.... Sgt. Pepper Back cover, "Without You" over Faul's head ADITL clue "he blew his mind out in a car..." and "I buried Paul" at the end of Strawberry Fields AND "Untimely death" at the end of I Am The Walrus....okay it was a three way tie.
With the Turn me On dead man, I'm wondering if they intentionally recorded someone saying that, and recorded it backwards....either that OR they were possessed and the spirits from beyond were recorded saying that....
Makes for interesting conversation....

That's your opinion. It made a great impression on me the 1st time I saw it.
Another good album clue would be "Paul's" back to everyone while the others are facing forwards, on the back of Sgt. Pepper.
