I've been trying to grow my hair out for a long time, it's been really hard to get it to lay down well over my ears and stuff. Well, the top finally got long enough, but the bottom was too long and I went in for a trim around the edges... and the crazy woman chopped/layered it so that it barely covers my ears and stuff. I even showed her this picture but instead I come with hair more like Billy from Sgt. Pepper Even after I specifically told her I didn't want a round look to my head. Looks like I'll be wearing some sort of cap for the next... 2 months... this hair just looks strange on me This has happened like 3 times now. I get the top grown out, but by that time the bottom is TOO long and needs trimmed... and inevitably something goes horribly wrong.

i basically have 2 options now, 1.. all my hair to the behind, if you know what i mean.. and 2. everything in front, but the problem there is that the hair in front is too much cutted.. so i can see my head there too much ( and when i go outside, it just goes to the behind again) bleh, bleh... bad english

Where are ya goin' for this trim? As long as I kept goin' to the franchises like Super Cuts, Pro Cuts, etc & only payin' the $15 or so, I had to keep it fairly short. They WILL screw it up eventually. Now I''ve about decided to grow it out more, I'm gonna have to start payin' more for a trim. An ol'friend works at one of these fancy salons, so I'm gonna start using her & payin' more. With her tip, I expect to pay $35-40 from now on. Not sure if I want it this long again...... try to ignore the psychedelic glaze & dialated pupils!!

I was so mad about what she did, I jumped out of the chair before she could get to my bangs really, so... they are still kind of long and out of proportion, and I think that's going to be the problem (I'll have to go get them trimmed eventually and when I do... they'll probably ruin me again).
I've realized that people just don't know how to handle long hair on a guy, if you go to a male barber, he'll be used to giving buzz cuts and will want to buzz you, and if you go to a female one she'll want to cut it however SHE thinks it will look good.

Now, if ya go to a well-established, pricey salon, none of that will matter.... they'll cut it the way ya want it every time..... guaranteed You get what you pay for.

There is a tiny little man on your left (as we see you). What's this? "Honey I Shrunk the Parents!"? (And how did you get that white box to show through your sleeve? A ghost!!! )

Funny.... I've had this pic for 36yrs & I never noticed that. I can't quite place who is in the photo, but it looks like they're wearin' a monkey suit like me. I had to look sharp.... hankie in the pocket & weird flower on the lapel.... I was on my way to get myself hitched. Why my stoned ass went by my parents house 1st... I'll never know.

It's funny, I heard a couple of women at work saying the same thing once.. That they disliked going to female hairdressers for precisely that reason, so they preferred male ones. Maybe you should consider it if you want the job done correctly.

I've had my fair share of bad haircuts. I try to get the same lady at the fancy shmancy salon because she knows exactly what I generally like to have done, but at some times I was not able to get them and a couple times it was preeeeeetty bad. SIDE SWEEPS ARE NOT THE SAME THINGS AS FULL BANGS. God. Anyway, you just have to remain confident. I don't think there's any need to hide it, even if it bugs you. At the end of the day, it's just hair!
