You say you've got a resolution
Well, you know, we all want to change ourselves
You tell me that you want to lose weight you know..
You better free your mouth instead
But when you talk about diets
Don't you know that you can count me out
You know it's gonna be all right
You know it's gonna be all right
You really got a resolution
Well, you know, we all want to see the plan
You say you need an institution
Well, you know, you better free your gut instead
But when you go carrying pictures or Richard Simmons
Don't you know that you can count me out
You know it's gonna be all right
You know it's gonna be all right
Yes, it's that time of the year once again when we are bombarded on the airwaves with diet plans, diet foods, and exercise DVD's and gizmos to achieve those bodies we once had, or wished we could have by using these things.
Also noticed ads for products helping people who have a nicotene problem.
I think that, at least in my workplace, there should be a caffiene patch..for those who can't get their coffee and have fits, this may be the trick.
While it's a noble jesture to make a resolution of losing weight, or quitting smoking, or some other bad habit.....the problem comes when one loses heart or is no longer diligent in achieving the goal.
What I may suggest here, is not so much making some resolution out of "tradition". If there is something that you want to change in your life, make it a genuine goal you want to accomplish and be dedicated to reaching it.
I've seen it happen where people start diets, even fad diets, and after 3 weeks fizzle...there needs to be a sincere attempt to look at something you want to change and make a gradual progression rather than trying to "crash" or go "cold turkey".
It's usually diets that people make resolutions about, but whatever it is that you want to change, make a commitment to take it one day at a time. Make a resolution to make no resolutions if you are not going to be determined and dedicated to accomplishing those goals.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
And it's a great way to burn excess fat.
