Hope everyone gets a chuckle today. A year ago, on this same exact day, I invited my lawyer friend Charles out to lunch at a hole-in-the-wall seafood joint that is very popular. I treated him to an all you can eat fish and seafood bar. Unfortunately, something was wrong with the catch-of-the-day, and I got a call from him later in the day telling me that he was in the throes of convulsive dry heaves from food poisoning, and that he could never eat there with me again. He called today, a year later, in the throes of the dry heaves yet AGAIN, unbelievably, and though he said he forgave me for last year, he would never allow himself to get treated to lunch on April First again. In fact, he said it had happened several years in a row. He had now learned his lesson. He was calling every April 1st lunch partner he could remember for the last decade to set things straight. From now on, if invited to a Fools Day lunch, he planned to respond with: "Nope, a free one gets a Chuck ill today." OK, pathetic. That was pathetic. You are all in comic agony right now. Well, you would be, if that had actually been funny. You see, this is how I spread joy and love in a confused and tense world. Ostensibly. OK, I am working on an alternative.............

I am not biased, but the Gregorians screwed up. Spring and rebirth/renewal versus the dead of winter for the day we celebrate the "New Year". Great job on the card!

Oh, and while the King was looking down The Jester stole his thorny crown The courtroom was adjourned No verdict was returned And while Lennon read a book on Marx The quartet practiced in the park And we sang dirges in the dark The day the music died
