Here's why the kidnapping theory doesn't hold water:
Think about your best friend(all three Beatles could make a case for Paul being there's) is kidnapped, what would you do?
Would you go to India to check out temples and go shopping for Indian artifacts during the daytime? Would you agree to go to another country and make a film? Would you go to Paris to hang out? Probably not.
You would probably go looking for this person, asking around, playing detective yourself. You would probably stay put looking for your friend. You would probably do everything in your power to find your friend and/or help the authorities find him.
The kidnapping theory that was originally on 60IF doesn't make logical sense.....

I agree that a full-blown kidnapping ala 60IF is probably out of the question, but I think the possibility that foul play was involved is likely (well, about as likely as anything else in this story). Just speculating, but if McCartney just happened to perish in a sudden accident, the chances that it would be able to be kept under wraps is slim. However, if he was missing for a short time, it could have been possible that a contingency plan would have had time to be developed.
Plus, with all the information we have, I think John was already shooting the film, George was already in India, and the trip to Paris happened before Paul died, but that's getting back to the debate of when it happened: the week of the 11th, the week of the 18th, or later. Just based off of the clues and what we take as clues, my pet theory right now is that McCartney and Epstein were in an automobile accident on their way home from Paris. Paul got a cab but never turned up after that. He was missing and found dead later on, possibly after a few weeks. During that time, they weren't sure what happened to him, but they wouldn't automatically assume the worst, and so there was no need to fly off the handle and abandon the daily routines they were involved with at the time.
