I am a firm believer that the switch took place while she was linked to Sinatra.

I wonder that this release of news isn't disinformation to distract from what really happened.
I think it's possible that Prudence was Mia's replacement. This talk of not being able to get Prudence outside of her room the whole month over there may have been a cover story. They pretended she was inside her room and wouldn't come out, when all the time there was noone in there because she was outside impersonating Mia if you follow me. Yet somehow they managed to convince others that both Mia and her sister were there. Perhaps noone really saw them together at the same time.
"Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play" may really refer to inviting Prudence to play the GAME of celebrity replacement.

Cheers for the link. It's hard to tell if she was replaced. She certainly looks different but as someone pointed out in that thread a persons face can change a lot as they enter adulthood. skirmisher, that's an interesting hypothesis. If they are sisters, it would explain the fact that I'm having a hard time seeing a big difference between them. Siblings can look alot like each other ! Great job, everyone !  |

I never thought about the switch that Prudence is our "Fia". Explains why she looks similar, but not identical. Mia had a squarer jaw, but Fia isn't quite as square.
I know there's a difference in personalities, but couldn't quite put my finger on why it seemed different.

Where's Mia in the picture? Or isn't she there? I've seen Mia in pictures and she's a blonde.
So much for that theory Prudence is mia.
Looking at that shot, it looks like a Maharishi version of Sgt. Pepper album cover....all those faces.
Interesting to note that Bill is the center of the front row, almost as if he were the focus of this gathering.

Cheers JoJo. I'm going to pick up the Anthology DVDs soon so if you don't get a chance to look I'll see if I can get a decent image capture of her. Really looking forward to seeing them again. Partially because they were just great and partially because I'm intrigued to see the change take place.

The young girl on the left has a square jaw. The girl on the right has bigger eyes.
The bridge on the noses are not the same space apart.
If the woman with dark hair and glasses is Prudence, she resembles the "young Mia'. She doesn't look like "Fia".

Rosemary's Baby was about a demon being born on earth. One of the girls who killed the pregnant Sharon Tate claimed she was doing god's will. What if the Manson family had it in their heads that Sharon and Roman Polanski's baby (though many suspect that Jay Sebring may have been the father ... which would explain why Roman allegedly treated her so badly) was a demon that had to be destroyed? What if getting THE BABY had been the goal all along and the other murders were simply smoke screens to make it seem as if raving radicals were on the prowl killing people? Or maybe the baby was the innocent blood sacrifice. This makes you wonder about the Beatles famous "Butcher" album cover. John Lennon once seemed to suggest that Polanski had been revealing secrets. Maybe his films were these revealings. Rosemary's Baby also highlights the idea of having a double of a famous person around to be used by the Dark Side when needed.
