"To the sudden burst of pain before June."
HUH?
So if yall found this last night:
DIRECTIONS:
4. Enter the password
3. Unzip THE SECRET
2. Seek the truth
1. Install Revolution '08
If for whatever reason the software does not run on your Windows PC, or does run, but is buggy and unstable....I am not a very tech-oriented person. I am only doing this because this is the way it's SUPPOSED to unfold. This is the small role I play in this saga, but I did not choose my part, and I can't help you if you the software refuses to work. What I will do, however, is give you a hint as to what the password may or may not be: "To the sudden burst of pain before June."
I'm a bitch, aren't I? Enjoy figuring that one out.
"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Luke 11:9
"We'll sing it man; cos we be reverse." - John Lennon
"Do as thou wilt." - Aleister Crowley
So, like, may or may not
and before june is may
and a sudden burst of pain is a pang
like
OK,
May Pang is among us?
Hmmmmmm.....
It is getting too interesting around here. I'm stayin'.

Well, glad to hear it Doc, but (adjusting bandages and attempting to remove shrapnell with teeth), can we please let this silly April Fool's prank die already? Thanks.

Well, glad to hear it Doc, but (adjusting bandages and attempting to remove shrapnell with teeth), can we please let this silly April Fool's prank die already? Thanks. Oh. Ya' mean, it was all just a prank? Oh. How do you feel about it, Doc? It sounds as if you're pretty disappointed. I guess that's what the sad face means. I guess that you feel that this wasn't a "funny" prank. Like others, I've been in touch with Jude about it, and he is so crushed -- so utterly decimated -- by the reaction to the revelation that it was just an April Fool's joke that he has left this group again. And like others, I really like Jude a lot; he is a helluva guy. He's very badly hurt, and it hurts me very much to see him hurt and I've told him so -- and yet, I'm surprised and disappointed that he can't see that his joke was bound to backfire on him - and that, in this particular setting to this particular audience, this wasn't a good idea for an April Fool's joke.

Okay, we all know it was set up as a prank, now. How about this, let's remove the May Pang premise from the equation and re-examine the prank as Jude wanted us to.
Let's take a look at what we missed, let's see what he presented and let's find out how it was presented. It wasn't supposed to be mean-spirited, it was supposed to be a humorous little lark that was supposed to be played out in the game.
If Jude had said, "hey guys, I found this weird game at this site, I can't figure it out, can you?" Then let's see what he really wanted us to see? How about that? Let's explore what he built.

I have heard from Jude and I have expressed that sentiment. From what I gather, the game he made was more important and we never reached that point because of circumstance that unfolded. If playing his creation, the multimedia game, would help to settle this incident, then it might be something to try. Else he come to terms with the incident in his own time.

games, at last check, are games. We really don't have time. April Fool. Sure> We don't have time to guess passwords that might be impossible, but Jude said that the password was given to you in the game and he is upset because no one bothered to try the game. If we know that this game is safe and a lark, then that is a different story, though still it takes time. I still am bothered by the premise of the prank. "I tried and failed, like jude,
March 10th anyone? who SHALL BE Miis(ed) America? we shall wait, right , Jude?" This doesn't ring a bell. Maybe I don't know enough about the situation and maybe my suggestion was off base.

It seemed obvious from the very beginning that the "May Pang" blog was bogus.
(If I've said this once, I've said it at least once....) If we focus on Sgt. Pepper and assume all the contemporary prophets are bullshitters, then we have a chance to figure out what message, if any, The Beatles encrypted there. Otherwise we just end up chasing dog tales.
Sadly, new revelations about Pepper are generally forgotten by the next day. Prophets, apparently, are much sexier.

Well I hope he doesn't stay hurt, I mean, my goodness, games and franks sometimes backfire. I had high hopes that someone would get the precise write backward code using those letters (maypang) backwards or up side down or something, and then we'd all work it and find another clue, like the magic decoder ring in a box of Sugar Smacks, but it went south so sorry. He will live to see another say. Let it go, Jude, and come back and keep contributing. Remember Faul's big April Fool's article from 2 years ago? Well, maybe he didn't create it but whoever did it really got us going and it was timely, interesting, and amusing all at the same time. (The one that supposedly said the Sir Paul was coming clean and admitting that he replaced Paul and so forth, the usual PID rhetoric. but when presented so out in the open and credited to the Source himself, well, that picks up everyone's ears, but hey, May Pang may be great and all that, but she'll not get the same Nielson rating around here that Maaca gets, sorry. Not all April Fool gag-hoaxes can be as good as that one, ya' know! May or may NOT> oh NOT MAY PANG. backwards, thats........GNAPYAMTON sorry

Great, now where does that leave me? ;D My head is spinning. edit to add--- There are some who would like for Jude to come to terms with this stunt on his own time, or not, and there are others who want him to come back now, or soon. I think he should come back and engage others in open discussion to take the heat or not, to explain himself to all and to clear the air as calmly as one can possibly manage. Maybe he can't do that at this time. The board has been shaky and turbulent of late, and Coconut Fudge is scared to participate, that is just not how things should be. The tension is building and who knows what happens if there is no interview on the 10th or even if there is one? It would just be nice to try to change the tone of discussion.

I never meant to hurt anyone with this "prank". Like Jarv said, the blog was meant to seem obviously bogus, but some people still believe it. That hurts me as much as it'll hurt them when they finally realize I was behind everything. I must be a very convincing liar, because I never imagined so many people would fall for an April Fools joke, particularly when the entire thing was viewed out of context. Iameye, you will get no apology from me. The readme file directed you to install the software. Did you? Or did you follow socash around, seeing what he uncovered? It hurts to work very hard on something only to stand back and see it picked apart by one individual. Why was socash the only person to install the game? Are 50 MB installers that use Paul's face as an icon so suspicious? How many diabolical hackers have you heard of that go about posing as a former assistant to Yoko Ono? Frankly, I've never heard of a 50 megabyte virus, or even malware of that size, but isn't that what anti-virus software is for? I don't intend to draw anyone's ire with this post, but I suppose that it is what I will do. It's always hard to sympathize with someone who just can't let something go, so.....I don't expect anyone's sympathy. I'm glad that so many of you have written to me your feelings of concern, but I don't think things will ever be the same again. Because of a stupid April Fools joke that for whatever stupid reason no one viewed in it's proper context I am now seen as a villain among people like iameye, and......to the people who still believe in Queen of Cosmania......well, they are the ones that will be most hurt when they discover it was me; but the truth has to be known. This is the "game" no one has time for. This is a place for serious research--we never horse around--so whatever you do, don't take 10-15 minutes to follow along with a semi-interactive story in which the player converses with the ghosts of Mal Evans, Neil Aspinall, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Stuart Sutcliffe, Brian Epstein, and George Harrison. We simply don't have time.....right, iameye?
Title Screen
10 Matthew Street, Liverpool
Mal Evans
The briefcase
Stuart, on possibly re-joining the group
John Lennon[/b] Here are the last few seconds of Devolution Nein, reversed. Here, using a computerized, vocoder-like voice, I revealed that I was behind the joke. The video originally displayed text at the end that said you should play the song backwards. I guess should have left that part in, since as of yet no one has noticed this secret message, despite my expectation that it would be found shortly after the acronym was discovered. In the end, it was a short game, and cheaply made due to my apparent lack of programming skills. Anyone can make a game like this using Adventure Maker, but the images, sound, music, events, and dialogue really took a lot of time, and it was something that I was very proud of, very, very excited to share with everyone, because I would have loved to see everyone solving the anagram to find the password to that zip file the way I intended---by utilizing the clue that John provides the player. I figured everyone would have a lot of fun discussing what may or may not be clues to solving the anagram, but alas, that is---much to my deep sadness and frustration---not how things turned out. I watched as it all unfolded, and when it got to the point that everyone was listening to Devolution Nein, I figured, hell, they're going to figure out that it was me soon, I might as well stick around and watch the fun. But there was no fun. Only people who took this far more seriously than I ever expected, possibly because they had just been watching from the sidelines, not really playing the game that was supposed to provide the means of finding the password that was supposed to lead you to the video. Everything is far more exciting when you stand back and watch the "professionals" handle it, and I really believe that had anyone played the game they would've approached this Youtube video with far more skepticism. I mean, an adventure game? Really? Why would May Pang (whom I never intended for people to believe I was) create a point n' click, Myst-style adventure game? Isn't that a bit silly? But I think a lot of people missed that part, and only saw a thread (and a blog, Tafultong's) where people were buzzing about May Pang and a locked zip file. And since no one found the backward audio bit in Devolution Nein, there was also this "unknown" element to what people began to view as a mean-spirited prank: "someone played a mean trick on us, and the coward didn't even show his/her face!", etc. The song itself was only done in about 5 hours. I had a lot of fun mixing elements together, some obscure, and others more well known. I admit that I shouldn't have called the project "The Right Album", since so many people believe in that; but at the same time, I also thought people would play the game (which is where the album is first referenced) and think "Aww, Iamaphoney is just bullshitting us again" (I'm talking about you, Jarvitronics). So who do I blame? Myself? Yes, and socash. I blame myself for including that stupid zip file to begin with instead of just hiding the URL somewhere in the game. And I blame socash for ripping the videos, uploading them to YouTube and opening the doors to scrutiny that these movies were never meant to be subject to...they aren't Rotten Apple videos, you know, they are scenes in a game, meant to convey emotions and carry the plot along it's intended course, not reveal some dark PID-related secret. I can't describe to you all how it felt to see the entire project undergo such criticism, such scrutiny over at Tafultong's Iamphoney blog. His blog is an absolute favorite of mine, I adore it and depend on it to keep me updated on affairs concerning and related to Iamaphoney. To see this project, which I took a lot of pride in, crumble as it was continually misconstrued was a heartrending experience for me. When I wrote my last post, I meant every word I said: it truly was the end for me. I really felt THAT low. Add to that iameye and felipegcs searing criticisms and perhaps you can imagine how I felt, and still, to a degree, feel now. But my sadness led to anger, which led to the kind of painful numbness---which I know, doesn't make sense, but it's the only way I can describe it---that I am feeling now. I cried so much over this that I can't cry anymore. This forum, and the subject of PID in general, had become a large part of life, and yet now I feel I have no welcome here. There are those who do know that it was me, and hate me for it, and there are those will discover it was me, and will hate me for it. I have lost, and am losing friends over an April Fools joke that I feel no one has understood, or attempted to, outside of Jarvitronics and socash. If by now there are any of you that don't understand where I'm coming from, then you never will. But this experience has left an aching chasm between this forum and I that I feel will never be closed. April Fools comes only once a year, and there are no second chances.
