I read that the FDA is trying to cover up mercury contamination in fish... Does this mean that ALL fish are bad to eat? I eat alot of Tilapia every week. Sometimes I'll eat a Tuna fish sandwich. I was always told that it was way better to eat fish than beef and stuff.... Anyone know?

Small fish are okay ---sardines, herring, anchovies; and shellfish too, and smaller squids and octopuses. The rest is not okay.

The higher in the food chain, the higher the concentration. So, sardines are probably pretty low, and tuna probably high. Fish is good for you, were it not for the mercury, but eh.. I figure the "strip mining" method of fishing will leave the world without fish before too long, so I enjoy it while I can.

And sardines aren't what they used to be. Now they're raised in big bathtubs full of anti-biotics and not cooked very well. The small ones in a red wrapper from Canada aren't bad. All the rest are almost literally crap. (Goes to puke.) Also estrogen is used to fatten up some factory-farm fish.

Is bottled-water also fluoridated? I've seen some that was labeled as such. (who would buy it!?) I would reason that if it was included as part of the ingredents, they would list it. I don't know the reach of Castle Springs water, but I have toured the plant, and it's truely one of the best bottled waters out there. Due to the geography of the land, it gets filtered through many layers of sand, rocks, etc. and doesn't need any added treatment.

I usually drink Nestle Pure Life water or Aquafina. I haven't drank water from the faucet in years, so maybe I'm not too fluoridated yet.

Oh, but those plastic bottles! There was a company in the south (Georgia, if memory serves) that was promoting bottled water for babies, and their label said "with flouride!" as if to suggest that this was somehow a nutrient that would help baby's teeth grow big and strong. I set them straight, and I think even the FDA recently came out and said it wasn't a great idea, but still some "boddled water" companies label their water thus in hopes of increasing sales. Not all bottled water is what it would seem. You can bottle tap water and sell it. And btw, Aquafina is water, but it is not from the mountains; the Pepsi (or is it Coke?) company has a formula (H2O !) that they use so that it has a consistent texture and taste. (Like dog spit.)

"Dannon" make bottled water "for kids" in small "kid-sized" botttles packed labeled "WITH FLUORIDE!" and a cartoon kangaroo to lure them and their parents. I think there is at least one other company brand doing this; they started doing this few years ago at the time Britain was proclaiming it was going to start fluoridating the Unitd Kingdom public water supply.
I actually saw a man giving one of these small brand-name fluoridated water bottles to his son to drink in a shop; he probably thought he was doing something healthy for his child.
