At camp a friend of mine told me the following,
In 1968, Paul McCartney and John Lennon were walking on a sidewalk to there house/apartment Paul had started to lag behind. Paul called John's name and as John turned, Paul shot him in the head. George and Ringo, who were close by in a house/apartment heard the gunshot and ran outside to see what happened. Paul, reliesing what he had just down shot himself in the head before George or Ringo could stop him. They were shocked and apparently cried.
Now here comes the weird part.
They decided to replace John with his son, John Lennon Jr. Don't ask me how John managed to have a son his age. According to her, that's why John's hair grew quickly. My friend didn't even mention anything about Paul.
In short; Paul killed John. Paul killed himself. John was replaced with his son, John Lennon Jr. Paul was replaced by Bill(?).
My guess as to why Paul might have shot John was the whole competition thing.
This is probably the most strangest PID story I've ever heard of.

That's pretty strange all right.
Was there any reason for you to think you're friend had the inside scoop? Was she a relative of George's, or something?

I think someone should start a thread where everyone can post their own personal variations of the Paul is dead story. I think it'd be pretty fun!

Study for the messed up story, or study for an exam?

Hahaha, I like how Mr. Lennon conceived a child when he was like a year old. I always knew he was an extraordinarily talented man! ;D

Maybe it's just that I've read a few too many bad John Lennon biographies, but...I don't even want to think about who the mother would've been!

It sounds like this person doesn't know much about proper Beatles chronology.

According to her she read it in a book she had in her car. She had found it on a website that was apparently taken down. She also threatened to kill a camper. There were 2 people in my bunk that knew Ringo and Paul personally. According to one of them, Paul never died.

When did they know them? Early on? Later?

Savoy Truffle wrote: "There were 2 people in my bunk that knew Ringo and Paul personally. According to one of them, Paul never died." That sounds like a pretty up-scale camp! Was it the Apple Road Studios summer camp or something? 'Camp Appolonia' perhaps? I'd like to hear more! Where was it? I'd presume in England. How did the two campers happen to know Paul and Ringo? What did the one who said Paul never died, say happened to him? How did this topic of conversation happen to come up? Around a campfire one night? What did the councellors have to say? (Please pass the marshmallows.)

Actually it was Camp Pocano Trails in PA. Tori said that her grandfather was a friend of The Beatles. Olivia's uncle was a friend too. The subject came up when I told my friend that I thought Paul had died.
The councellors didn't really say much. They didn't believe Tori or Olivia personally knew The Beatles. I did learn that Paul loves cheese and Ringo gets hyper on coffee.

So there were two people in your bunk who knew Paul and Ringo personally but actually it was their Uncle and Grandfather?
Hmmm, this thread is ridiculous, it is a joke right?

Hey, give Savoy a break. Could be a case of 'just tellin what I heard'. Besides, deep in the archives of something somewhere, the cheese and coffee thing could be verified. Oh Ringo! Starbucks?

Savoy Truffle, that camp is about 40 miles from where I live! I watched the video - looks like a cool place. I hope you enjoyed it. Next year tell Tori and Olivia to have their grandfather and uncle write you about their Beatle experiences! Or better yet, have them pay us a visit here at NIR! Best wishes.

I agree with what LetterB suggested. We love it when people come here who knew the boys personally.

Yeah, I probably sound a bit harsh, but it does seem as though the original story has changed a bit.
Sorry if I have put you off Savoy because that's the last thing I want, keep the posts coming.

This might be a tad bit of gravedigging, but I'd like to add that Tori's godfather is Ringo. I'll have to email her and ask why it isn't "Paul".

Since when was there a John Lennon Jr? I must have missed that bus.
The grass is always greener on the other side of the weeds.

There is a "John Lennon Jr.", although he's not known as that by the world/his family. (nor did he replace John Lennon Sr. in 1968, at least by the laws of physics we are familiar with...)
That would be Julian, whose full name is: John Charles Julian Lennon

JoJo, I did not know that was Julian's full name.
Well you learn something new every day.
Thanks.
