Didn't John Lennon also say in one interview that he was saying "I'm very bored" as opposed to "cranberry sauce" ?
BTW, putting aside the added "cranberry sauce" on "Anthology" which part of 'CRAN" sounds remotely like "I"...
Apologies in advance for redundancy.

Someone said it.. it was in the 8 disk collection "PID, Miss Him...", which is a collection of radio interviews and shows pertaining to the PID activity around 1969.
One interview was with John, so it may have been him, but I'm leaning towards it being one of the Apple insiders, perhaps Derek Taylor? (not sure)
I remember it being part of an exasperated sounding collection of denials..

I always thought a more plausible form of denial would be explaining that John said "raspberry sauce." At least you get the long vowel sound that could be interchanged with "I."
Never minding that the entire song building up to it is about John lamenting currently living in a reality built on a particular illusion. Funny how people never pick up on the intent of these lyrics.

Wasn't there "I'm very tall" thrown into the mixer as well?

Wasn't there "I'm very tall" thrown into the mixer as well? That's the one they SHOULD have used! It at least has the word or sound "eye" in it. But John probably gave a ridiculous answer as to not discourage serious people from looking further. Neil, I believe, is on record as saying that it certainly sounds like "I buried Paul."

I found it funny how in Anthology they added the cranberry sauce. I mean, they are just drawing suspicion to it. If it said "cranberry sauce" to begin with, why not leave it alone? But no, in the Anthology version they make sure you hear it. It's almost like they made the thing with PID slueths in mind.
