Here are some scans, from the last few pages. I mentioned this book before, badly written, but with some info I haven't seen before. The below talks about "Broad St", and how the guy who in the plot "loses the tapes", (music) looks remarkably like Denny Laine. We then learn that, as of the writing of this book, (1988) Bill made only one live concert appearance after Denny's departure, Live Aid in 1985. (he did do a 1989-1990 world tour) So for most of the 80's, he hid in the studio, which might lead one to believe that without Denny's supporting vocals, he had a serious problem, and he knew it. Of course the LA performance went badly, with the malfunctioning microphone, or so the story goes. (wish I had video of that) I don't know much about his "side men" after Wings, but most likely he has the support he needs now. Interesting that in his absence at the R&R hall of fame, George said "It's really hard to stand here representing The Beatles. It's what's left I'm afraid".

That's a very interesting look at Faul that I haven't seen before JoJo. I actually fell asleep basically watching GMRTBS on DVD. It really kinda sucked, IMHO. It seems like he's very isolated and driven in a lot of ways. It's like he can't stop doing what he does even if he wanted to. It's really too bad about the Hall Of Fame occurance. If would've been nice to see them all up on stage together. They could've just told jokes and then said that they didn't want to do any songs. People might've understood that. Very sad overall. But Faul's doing better these days. Publicly at least. It's interesting how he never gives anything away in interviews.

I know most critics, the general public, most of the western hemisphere really can't stand that movie, but I kinda like it. It might be more accurate to say I'm facinated by it, watching him do the old Paul songs, sounding like Paul had his vocal cords tightened. It was indeed a way of tying together a collection of music videos, no question.
Bill has this thing about paying more attention to the visual presentation, elsewhere in the book it talks about the enormous amount of money he would spend on album covers. Likewise, the movie was full of eye candy, but I still would be hard pressed to tell you what the plot was about, even after reading a summary, I still don't get it.

It's obvious that Bill wanted to control the whole project from beginning to end. And I see your point about looking for clues. Maybe it's a matter of watching it carefully and just keeping your eyes open. If you can stay awake that is. ;D
