Looks like a religious work of art. Perhaps a mythological god and goddess from Atlantis.
Only reason I think of that, the connection with the underwater, like Octopus' Garden, taking the Yellow Submarine, as if to find the lost continent of Atlantis down there, the Utopia of the world as one. No problems...
Maybe it's the place where they want to go to escape fame, and be part of some ultimate uphoria, eternal bliss.
Sure ain't gonna find it in this illuminated cesspool....

A young man proposes to a young lady.

I don't know about that. The young lady isn't smiling. To me, it looks like the young man is trying to talk his way into the young lady's life. [img src="http://galeon.hispavista.com/akostuff/img/Dunno2[1].gif"] I think that it could be Bill trying to talk Miss Jane into playing ball.

Well, I think the reason I wonder about it is because I suspect it's something very old, and I wonder if we knew the artist and/or title of the painting, it might have some meaning that could be transferred to the mystery at hand.
Or not.. won't know until it's identified.

JoJo, at what time in the video does this image show up? I see people dressed like this flitting through the video, but one of the clearest images is of a woman at 4:51, during the final long note. I don't think it is a painting, but rather a resin sculpture, because of the way it reflects light; it seems to be three dimensional. I'm inclined to see this as representing the deceased (Paul) kneeling in front of "Mother Mary" at the time of his death - a sort of representation of the "pray for us now and at the hour of our death" in the Hail Mary. Of course, the person kneeling is dressed in attire of one living in the time of Mary, which, one would think, Paul wouldn't be. Still, the concept is there. And if you say, "Yes, but the guy looks like Jesus Christ," then maybe that's part of it - the dead "in Christ" as it were. "When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me" - Mary is Jesus's mother, but Paul's "in Christ" as well. Your post hadn't shown up when I was writing this, Ilras, but I agree; absolutely.

Yeah, I can't remember when this showed, was doing a frame by frame, 'cause ya know.. sometimes weird stuff shows up.. It was a while ago is all, I'll try to find it again when I have the chance. Hmm could be, perhaps a photo taken of something like that?

Yes, it seems to be a shot of a sculpture that was there, possibly. This is a sort of continuation of my last post. I hesitated to add it, but here goes: PID/PWR is a mystery[/i]. You've heard of "mysteries" in religions and cults. PID/PWR is a " MAGI-cal" mystery. (Words say a lot. ;D) I wrote about this at TKIN once: Take a look at this song, sung by Nat King Cole in about 1948: NATURE BOY Eden Ahbez There was a boy A very strange enchanted boy They say he wandered very far, very far Over land and sea A little shy and sad of eye But very wise was he And then one day A magic day he passed my way And while we spoke of many things Fools and kings This he said to me "the greatest thing you’ll ever learn Is just to love and be loved in return" " the greatest thing you’ll ever learn Is just to love and be loved in return" (end) ----------- Anything about trees, birds, butterflies etc. in this song? Do you wonder why it was called "Nature Boy"? Question: Who is "Mother Nature's Son"? "Though she was born a long long time ago Your mother should know." I think the people dressed in "Arabian" clothes in the video knew exactly what they were doing.

While looking for that frame (can't find it!), I went once again through this image (more or less at 2'06"). could it be SFF Faul without the wig?

OK. frame is #4075 (exactly at 2'43") BTW, this sequence (from 2'41" to 2'42") makes me think... It seems it shows Faul taking his fake mustaches off (or putting them on, played backwards)

For some reason I have thought that that painting (or whatever it is) above applied to the old testament figures of Absalom and Ahitobel (spelling?), some exchange about King David, etc....I can not place it. I am probably wrong but it has an old testament look to me for some reason. I will keep delving around to see if we can lock in where this comes from---surely it's classic art?

I think that Doc is right. I get an old testament feel from it also. I also think that it might very well be a sculpture rather than a painting.

A better version, sadly, the very beginning and the fade-out is cut.

At around 3:25 John is with Mike Nesmith. Shortly after that, there is a scene in which the bandmembers have penises for noses ! Someone has done one acid trip too many ! ;D

Latvietis's version shows the mirroring of images on Sgt. Pepper at the end, during the the final note. Almost instructional.

Yeah that's from the Beatles Anthology, which is rather surprising from an official release in that it shows quite plainly that you need to take a mirror to the Pepper cover. Those are the two big ones, but of course there are many more, no? Not letting the mystery die, so it's not just us..

Finally found it Ilras, thanks for the little "demonstration", it was a big help. Still can't really tell which type of guitar he's playing, sorry to say..

Well, as resident professional guitarist of the board, I'd almost bet money that it's a Fender Stratocaster - a guitar. It's almost too blurry to tell, but I can indeed tell that it's either a Stratocaster, or a Fender Jazz, or Precision bass. Now look at his picking hand. This person is definately using a pick (plectrum) which most bassists don't use. They usually (though not always) use their index and middle fingers to pluck the strings with the thumb mounted on the body of the bass. Also, his other hand on the fingerboard looks a lot like an "E" chord, so I'll stick my neck out and say it's a Stratocaster.
Now, just WHO is it??? I haven't a clue....
