www.mplcommunications.com/mccartney/paul_bio1999.htmYa know, he could really just ignore all these issues, play music, and sit back and just enjoy life. I point this up to show that he is a very concerned person, eternally curious, and always looking into the pressing ramifications of current issues. A celebrity could take the easy way and invest no time or resource in these things. but he chooses to get involved, make a stand. I mean, if GMO makers aren't future shock high falutin' scientific one-worlders (i sound like that crazy preacher) then I don't know who is. So, if the capitalistic illuministic scientific masonic secret spy conspirators are all so together in thought----well by that kind of thinking he'd be off target of their (thereby his) agenda. In other words, what I am saying is, "conspiracy" theories would tend to have him supporting GMO's. The GMO position, I found most interesting (among others), because I have certain food allergies (doesn't half of America now) and I've read a little about the dangers of genetically modified items. (GMO soy is in so many things even at the health food store. I try to avoid it.) Anyway, without belaboring the point, read this if one has interest (recap of McCartney year, 2002 I think) because it draws a picture of this man in a very positive way. Viewing all sides is the correct option, isn't it?

I think he's taken an admirable stand on many things. In his "LIVE" 2002 concert CD (Back in the US?) he remarks that the thing about fame is that, if used properly, it can be used to accomplish many good things / positive works. (I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of the comment.) There are so many 'celebrities' who contribute nothing positive to the world....
I have a true fondness for the old boy, I just don't believe he is James Paul.

Roger........I read you.........10-4. Could anybody say so much as a word to Harold Hill at the end of The Music Man? (and Harold is very different in that he started with a true con-man motivation and in time came to find someone who taught him how to care, or perhaps remember, about other people. I am not implying that first condition to Bill at all, I think he arrived on the scene as a sincere, and caring, participant.) ".....There were bells, on the hill, but I never heard them ringing, No, I never heard them at all, Till There was You." Few people REALLY know what is happening to the main charactor (and "the girl") as they sing this beautiful song in that old broadway show. (The Music Man) It is not just about romance. It's about redemption-------realized through love. "I've got nothing to say, and it's OK. Good mornin', good mornin", good---ahh." Nothin' left but the guitar solo..................

Well fella i couldn't have put it better myself, I think Bill has done a good job taking on the persona of Paul (and incidently I still think Paul's alive, happy just being Pre-Beatle Paul who could go down the pub or the street without being noticed)
The way I look at it is who would look for something or somebody when they already know where it is?
Infact my next Guinness is to both Pauls and their respective healths.
Cheers all

Perhaps true, why not? But it's easy to be seduced by the opportunities that this "situation" would present to you. I think he took matters into his own hands as time went on, growing beyond the job as it was presented to him. A once in a lifetime chance, and how could he be prevented from continuing on as Paul and creating his own Paul persona? He made it possible for Paul to stay alive in just about everyone's mind, and truth be told, I wouldn't be surprised if those that protest the idea of a replacement most strongly on some level like this guy better, and want to defend him.
