I don't know if anyone is as obsessed with award shows as I am, but I'm sitting in here watching the Grammy awards and was wondering if anyone saw Ringo and George Martin go up and accept the award. I thought the way that they said "George, Paul and John who can't be with us" was kind of stated in a bit of a peculiar way.
I probably am also looking too far into trivial things as I tend to, but I would still love to know your thoughts on this! I also have been absent so long that I can't even remember if this is the right place to put this or not. Ah!

Long time no see! So glad you're back! Well, you know, "Paul" slapped a photographer today. He must think he's Frank Sinatra. ;D So maybe he'll have 2 court appointments tomorrow instead of just one (for Heather). I didn't get to see George Martin and Ringo.

Thanks! ;D Hahaha, that most definitely made me giggle, I had no idea that happened!
Maybe there'll be a YouTube thing of it eventually! It's probably my own suspicion working to make everything fit what I believe, but it seemed a bit fishy to me nonetheless!

I don't know if anyone is as obsessed with award shows as I am, but I'm sitting in here watching the Grammy awards and was wondering if anyone saw Ringo and George Martin go up and accept the award. I thought the way that they referenced Paul as "not being able to be with us" was kind of stated in a bit of a peculiar way. I probably am also looking too far into trivial things as I tend to, but I would still love to know your thoughts on this! I also have been absent so long that I can't even remember if this is the right place to put this or not. Ah! I'm still watching so I can't go back to confirm yet, but I think the sequence was a little peculiar. I THINK he said, "George, Paul and John who can't be with us." Yikes, why would he put Paul in between when Paul's reason for not attending would be in a completely different category than George and John. Not surprisingly, the "Love" performance of "A Day In The Life" had some curious things in it too.

Maybe they were picturing him being cross examined by Heather, as she acting as her own attorney. Takes place on Monday in England, so yeah, the Grammys are out.
Hmm that would be a different story Tafultong, phrased that way.. Someone will file share it eventually.

You have phrased it much better and I think more accurately than I did, I hope you don't mind if I change my original post so people aren't confused by my poor phrasing! Glad you saw it too. Fishy, no? I'm hoping it'll be on YouTube soon. I was only half-paying attention (the dog forces me to throw her dang ball at the most inopportune moments and barks if I don't comply. Little brat!) so I want to see it again.

That was my initial thought, but it was just so awkward in its presentation that I found it a bit strange! Tafultong's phrasing portrayed its peculiarity much more accurately than did mine. I hope someone does get it online so everyone who didn't see it can get a look at it as well!

I don't know if anyone is as obsessed with award shows as I am And the reason I caught the Grammy's was due to the obsession my wife has with award shows... ... (hopefully you guys believe me!)

I wish I could answer, but I did not even notice. Clearly I paid awesome attention. I was watching the Grammy's and also got the same vibe... ... In fact, I actually got the chills when I heard the "George, Paul, and John" part... Yeah, it was really, really so weird. There are 9083423904 (give or take one or two) different ways to say that, but they chose the sketchiest, most PWRish way they possibly could. Seems like that isn't a coincidence. Oh, and yes, I'm sure your wife makes you watch award shows despite your protests... ;D

Yeah, the Doris Day thing, was okay, mention that she received a lifetime honors, a few pics and a generic audience applause, but that was it....
Gee, someone achieves lifetime achievement status, and it gets little attention.
I thought it odd that "Paul" was mentioned sandwiched with George and John....but the real Paul is departed.
I was looking for Bill to be there, but I figured something to do with Heather, or perhaps his heart hindered him from travel. Heather is enough....acting as her own attorney...that could be a damaging thing....does she have legal experience?

This capture doesn't do it justice, but when I saw this... ...I thought it looked an awful lot like this... I think it was the odd size and the elongated shape of the guitar.
