Maybe.. I'm in favor of dolce, only because the video that follows seems to suggest "la dolce vita". (the sweet life) Poe, well.. don't wanna forget Poe, no matter how out of place it may be..

About the Band On The Run video, posters on the official PM forum seem to think it's something made recently, interesting. The conversation starts here: macca.devstars.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=62113&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=450Re: Band on the Run. I found that video to be REALLY annoying. In 1973/4 the Beatles were by no means friendly, and there is no way that any of them would have let their images be used to publicise a Paul video. I know this video is new but it doesn't at all reflect the true state of things at that time. I would guess that Denny would be very upset to see Macca re-writing history like this to make it look like it was all about The Beatles when at that point he was actually trying to distance himself from them. I'd have been far happier with footage from One Hand Clapping than the Beatles tribute they've turne it into.

Interesting (self) portrait. Stranded on a rock, barefoot, surrounded by water, playing a stringed instrument. In B & W. What's the object behind him? Looks like a back end of a vehicle of some sort. Can anyone source this photo?

Can anyone source this photo? I think it's a frame from "No Other Baby", although I can't that exact camera placement. Perhaps it was a publicity still? Interesting thing about this video, a McCartney impersonator helped out, from: www.excaliburentertainments.co.uk/paul_mc_cartney_tribute_lee.htmStar of UK TV Radio and Theatre,Top UK/US McCartney and Beatles Tribute artist. Paul McCartney saw our paul perform Long and Winding Road live on a top UK TV show. He was so impressed he was invited to work with him on his promo video "No Other Baby" for Run Devil Run album in Oct 1999. Paul spent several days working as Paul's stand-in for the 'No Other Baby video at Pinewood Studios in England.

`Feather! Feather!' the Sheep cried again, taking more needles. `You'll be catching a crab directly.' `A dear little crab!' thought Alice. `I should like that.' `Didn't you hear me say "Feather"?' the Sheep cried angrily, taking up quite a bunch of needles. `Indeed I did,' said Alice: `you've said it very often -- and very loud. Please where are the crabs?' `In the water, of course!' said the Sheep, sticking some of the needles into her hair, as her hands were full. `Feather, I say!' `Why do you say "Feather" so often?' Alice asked at last, rather vexed. `I'm not a bird!'
`You are,' said the Sheep: "you're a little goose.'

Inspired by the death of James Manson in 1996 from brain cancer. Cygnus’s brightest star, Deneb,(DANHI?) marks the tail of the swan; its name comes from dhanab, the Arabic word for ‘tail’. The Greeks had no name for this prominent star. Deneb is a highly luminous supergiant, over 3000 light years away, the most distant of all first-magnitude stars. It forms one corner of the so-called Summer Triangle of stars completed by Vega in the constellation Lyra and Altair in Aquila. cygnus The beak of the swan is marked by a star named Albireo, revealed by small telescopes to be a beautiful coloured double star of green and amber, like a celestial traffic light. The German historian Paul Kunitzsch has traced the tortuous history of the name Albireo. It started with an Arabic translation of the Greek word for ‘bird’, ornis, the name by which both Aratus and Ptolemy knew the constellation. Let me see, is this a chair? Why, it's got branches, I declare! How very odd to find trees growing here! And actually here's a little brook! Well, this is the very queerest shop I ever saw!'Some say the Alder's name may have been derived from the old Anglo-Saxon root alor or aler or the old German elo or elawer, meaning reddish brown (when cut it bleeds, the tree itself is WHITE) Alor cygnus = the mute swan The swan is gliding above the ocean, A God is riding upon his back, How calm the water and bright the rainbow Fade this swan to black.
Aleister Crowley sometimes called himself Paramahansa (the divine Swan). Aleister wrote "and the wild swan sings ever; and my heart sings ever." [The Electric Silence] The Swan is the spirit of ecstasy and symbolizes the eternal self. Albireo (? Cyg / ? Cygni / Beta Cygni) is the third brightest star in the constellation Cygnus. Although it has the Bayer designation "beta", it is actually fainter than Gamma Cygni. Since Cygnus is "the swan", and Albireo is located at the head of the swan, it is sometimes called the "beak star". It also forms the "Northern Cross" along with Deneb, Delta Cygni and Epsilon Cygni.
The two component stars of Albireo are easily distinguished, even in a small telescope. The name of the star originates in misunderstandings and bad translations. The name of the star was originally Minq?r al-Daj?jah, "the hen's beak," (the Bill star ) as in Arab texts. Latin scholars misunderstood and thought that the name came from a kind of herb, and translated it into ab ireo ("from ireus"). Later this was treated as a misprint of an Arabic term and transcribed as al-bireo. Albireo is 385 light years away from the Earth. With bare eyes Albireo seems like a single star. However, when viewed with a telescope it readily resolves into a double star, one yellow (apparent magnitude 3.1), the other blue (apparent magnitude 5.1). Separated by 34 seconds of arc, the two components provide one of the best contrasting double stars in the sky due to their different colors.
They had been considered as merely an optical double, not orbiting around a common point as a true binary star system would be. However, in spite of the large distance between them, it has been shown that they are a true binary system. The brighter, yellow member of the pair, Beta Cygni A, is itself a close binary. A nide of geese A skein of geese See how they snied. A prettying of dove Pretty little policemen in a row. See how they fly like lucy in the sky, see how they run. Cygnus, The Swan, is one of the more obvious asterisms in the summer skies, which -- because of its shape -- is sometimes called the Northern Cross. www.skyscript.co.uk/cygnus.htmlTogether with Altair in Aquila and Wega in Lyre, Deneb Adige forms an impressive triangle which is prominent in the summer. William Lilly called it 'Cauda Cygni' and said it makes a man ingenious, and apt to any learning or knowledge, a comment which probably stems from Manilius's claim that from this constellation shall flow a thousand human skills.[3] `Was it? I didn't see it,' said Alice, peeping cautiously over the side of the boat into the dark water. `I wish it hadn't let go -- I should so like a little crab to take home with me!' But the Sheep only laughed scornfully, and went on with her knitting. `Are there many crabs here?' said Alice.
`Crabs, and all sorts of things,' said the Sheep: `plenty of choice, only make up your mind. Now, what do you want to buy?'
`To buy!' Alice echoed in a tone that was half astonished and half frightened -- for the oars, and the boat, and the river, had vanished all in a moment, and she was back again in the little dark shop.
`I should like to buy an egg, please,' she said timidly.
`How do you sell them?'
`Fivepence farthing for one -- twopence for two,' the Sheep replied.
`Then two are cheaper than one?' Alice said in a surprised tone, taking out her purse.
`Only you must eat them both, if you buy two,' said the Sheep.
`Then I'll have one, please,' said Alice, as she put the money down on the counter. For she thought to herself, `They mightn't be at all nice, you know.'
The Sheep took the money, and put it away in a box: then she said `I never put things into people's hands -- that would never do -- you must get it for yourself.' And so saying, she went off to the other end of the shop, and set the egg upright on a shelf.
`I wonder why it wouldn't do?' thought Alice, as she groped her way among the tables and chairs, for the shop was very dark towards the end. `The egg seems to get further away the more I walk towards it. Let me see, is this a chair? Why, it's got branches, I declare! How very odd to find trees growing here! And actually here's a little brook! Well, this is the very queerest shop I ever saw!'
* * * * * * * * * * * * * *
So she went on, wondering more and more at every step, as everything turned into a tree the moment she came up to it, and she quite expected the egg to do the same.
