Just tonight I watched for the first time, the TV special that Sir Paul made to go along with the Chaos and Creation album release. I absolutely loved it. Roommate captured it on the VCR last night; watched it a coujple of hours ago. Really fun, loved the presentation, the concept, the ideas, the flow. They turned what I suppose was Studio A at Abbey Road Studio into an intimate concert venue, a la a cabaret environment, with lit tables, slick lighting, a mini recording studio for Nils Godrich. Macca entertained alone furiously for an hour, going from new song to classic song, from piano to guitar to harmonium, to Elvi's Presley original bass player's bass, mellotron, the Hoffner, the strat, an acoustic, etc et al. He demonstrated recording techniques old and new; he did whole songs, bits of songs. He was wiity, iinformative, passionate. He created a nice thru-line that both entertained and illustrated. It was a kaleidoscopic take on Macca's musical life across four decades.

It's too bad that he doesn't come clean, so that he can take credit for his own work as himself !

But I've seen it, and it was a good show.

I believe you both. He's had alot of years to perfect his craft. Paul's genius was already very apparent at the tender age of 21 !
