Very interesting JoJo ! Where did you get that ? By the way, who is Robert (or Dr. Robert) in Beatles history ? Why did Faul ask him to take him back ?

I always thought he said "brother can you take me back". I think this from a private trade with a friend of mine, but stuff like this is just out there floating around.
Wasn't Doctor Robert more a song about the doc who would score them their prescripts?

Building you a better man....he helps you to understand.... Sounds like Dr. Robert could have been their med man...
Anyhow, I was thinking about this song, cry, baby, cry, make your mother sigh... Was John referring to Bill as a cry baby? Maybe he was in so much pain with recuperation from his facial surgeries. And then Bill cries "Can you take me back where I came from, can you take me back?" quite haunting vocals, considering he went through all of the surgery, and trying to learn to imitate the vocals, left handed bass playing, etc. Replacing one of the most famous men in the world at that time, and one of the most important men in music history..... No...there's no going back now Bill. Nobody can take you back...

Listening to it with headphones on, in the very beginning I can hear another voice in my left ear. It's a man saying " Won't you take me home soon ". He's speaking rather quickly. If you slow it down, it's easier to understand. Does anyone else hear this ? I agree with Lovely Rita. There is no going back for Bill. I do believe that Johnny wrote Cry, baby cry for the very reasons stated.
