This is a book by Kevin Trudeau. Here's a link to a little information about it: www.naturalcures.com/NC/book.aspxIf you don't want to read what that link says, it's basically a book that suggests that the government, especially the FDA, AMA, and the FTC, is shielding cures from the public for profit. He says that there are in-home, natural cures for "virtually every disease," including cancer, obesity, heartburn, the common cold, etc. Has anyone ever read this book? I saw the infomercial late one night maybe a year or so ago and my father and I had a random conversation about it today. Neither of us has read it in its entirety, but its concept is truly fascinating to me. I tried to talk to one of my friends about it, but he thought I was a nutbag when I talked about how the world is so corrupt and that, with technology nowadays, there has to be a cure for cancer that has been discovered, but the health industry would never let that happen. (That sentence sucked... sorry, it's a bit late!) Because people are so quick to have unfaltering faith in national and world governments, I thought I'd go to you all (truth-seeking people with minds of their own!!) with this. Does anyone think it's possible and/or plausible for people in various positions in society to be shielding the public from cures for terminal illnesses, the common cold, etc. in the name of money? Has anyone read this book? At first, I was kind of skeptical about this. I mean, it's pretty cynical to assume that people would willingly keep us unhealthy because of capitalistic urges, but I tried this guy's heartburn cure one day on a whim when Pepto Bismol was nowhere in sight (it was featured in the infomercial... it involves drinking vinegar). I have tried so many over the counter heartburn medicines it's not even funny. They all work eventually and to a certain extent, but after I drank the vinegar, literally, within SECONDS, my heartburn was gone. (I sound like an eighty year old man, don't I?! I'm a freshly 19 girl and I'm already falling apart!) It really made me wonder about how far people will go to make money, even at the expense of literally everyone else in the world. What I immediately thought of was Tesla and his cold fusion discoveries and how similar what is discussed in this book is. An e-penny for your thoughts?

Yes indeed. A little bit of synchronicity after reading your post: I checked Google News front page and there was this bit of exciting news: www.abcnews.go.com/Health/CancerPreventionAndTreatment/story?id=3255949&page=1I have seen many promising cures disappear over the years. And what was done to Linus Pauling was terrible. The NIH finally vindicated his findings last year. Of course, he's dead now.

That's excellent news! Although it certainly isn't a full cure (and I do believe at least one cure probably exists, any/all of which are withheld...), but it's always great when things like that are publicly validated. A shame that it took so long, but great news. Thanks for sharing that!
I'm very interested in the last couple things you say--do you have any examples of specific cures that have vanished? I find this all so creepy and sad because this type of thing must go on more than I ever thought, but it's so interesting.
As for Linus Pauling, I didn't know about anything that happened to him! If you find the time, please share! (I hope me not knowing about it doesn't make me sound ignorant... I know he was a big advocate of vitamin C, but I don't know much else.)

Kevin Trudeau is a saint. I really love this guy....all his natural cures have been tested and work, and his claims have even been verified by people who have previously worked for the FDA. I definitely recommend ordering his book. He even discusses weight loss, and all the steps he outlines in the work work (at least they did for me).

Really? That's cool, I didn't realize that former workers of the FDA had anything positive to say about it. I may have to look into buying this book, then! I am hoping to find something for migraines that doesn't involve side effects that are 320948309180483 times worse than the migraines themselves.

I've been tempted many times to buy that book. I might purchase it when I get the chance. Right now, my mom & myself are attempting the Eat right 4 your life diet. It involves eating certain foods according to blood type. It's interesting, to say the least.

How's it working?

So far, I've lost 10 pounds. I have type B blood, and certain foods are good & some aren't. The ones that are termed "highly beneficial" are supposed to help your body function more efficiently. I'm supposed to avoid tomatoes, which is hard since I'm Italian. My one son has been complaining, because I haven't made spaghetti sauce in awhile. ;D See if you can get it at the library. The book is called Eat Right For/4 Your Type by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. It has some fascinating stuff in it !

Trudeau's got a new book out on weight loss also. Supposedly it has secrets in it that people in the entertainment industry have been using for years but never went public with.

Don't buy the book, my sister bought the weight loss book and it's a ritual of strange things that would cost too much for the average guy to follow.
I've followed the blood type and lost about 40 pounds. I had fallen off the wagon, but only gained some of it back.
Natural cures they don't want you to know about...Sweatin' To the Oldies with Richard Simmons.... OKAY, we did know about that one...but we wished we really didn't see it...you know, Richard Simmons in sequence exercise shorts...just not something the world was really waiting for...

It's just so interesting to me that blood type and diet should be related! It is probably some well-known fact that I am completely clueless about or something, but I'm fascinated by the concept! I might pick it up to read up on it a little. I've followed the blood type and lost about 40 pounds. I had fallen off the wagon, but only gained some of it back. That's quite impressive! It's interesting because I had no idea he also authored weight loss books, much less ones that you guys are getting so much success from! Trudeau's got a new book out on weight loss also. Supposedly it has secrets in it that people in the entertainment industry have been using for years but never went public with. Do you know if they're from particular celebrities themselves or if they are ones that he came across through research or experimentation or something? It's a completely unimportant question as it doesn't make a difference in the validity, but I'm a curious girl.

Hello Forum,
I wouldn't be surprised if cures are being covered up. However, Kevin Trudeau isn't the person to trust. He did time for credit card fraud and grand larceny. Those who ordered his book have had to cancel their credit cards because they've been charged every month for newsletters they didn't order. I know this because I had my credit card company change my account number and the charges still came through even with the new number! The system is set up so you can't get out of it. His company ignores requests to cancel the letters. I've read plenty of complaints about his practices. I don't feel he's a saint.

He may not be a saint, but he hasn't exactly made all this money off of lying to people, either. His natural cures work.

If you find the time, please share! (I hope me not knowing about it doesn't make me sound ignorant... I know he was a big advocate of vitamin C, but I don't know much else.) I don't know know of any certain cures, however I know of some promising ones that were announced and then vanished. One that comes to mind is the NSAID Celebrex. It was found to destroy Lung Cancer. Very exciting and then...nothing. Instead, another simular drug, Vioxx, is found to be bad for the heart and pulled from the market. Celebrex is "guilty" by association, but remains on the market. But through all of the media stories I never again read any mention of those incredible findings regarding Lung Cancer. So, I think that is one example. Over the years I've seen this many times, and always involving promising cancer cures. Regarding Pauling, the only person to ever get the Nobel Peace Prize twice (one in chemistry): He was basically ridiculed when he promoted Vitamin C for just about everything, including cancer therapy. The notion that one can get kidney stones from taking amounts over the ludicrous RDA wcame from some obscure person who claimed this in a Readers (propaganda) Digest back in the seventies. To this day you will hear people say that they are afraid to take C out of fear of getting kidney stones. It really stuck, as was intended... Pauling did some exciting cancer research with C, but his findings were never duplicated due to god-awful follow-ups by NIH and the Mayo clinic. Nothing "happened" to Pauling and he lived into his early nineties, even writing a book at that time. His books were extremely well bought and I am glad for him. Recently, the NIH found that they were wrong and Pauling was right and they are now encouraging the government to a rapid pursuit in testing C as a possible cancer treatment. Hello,
I think one can get the book from Amazon. That way, there would be no billing problem.
