Hi, I just moved into the neighborhood. For some reason that escapes me, I did a search on PID. I think the first site I checked out was 60if which had the physical evidence stuff. I was pretty amazed! I'm sure that not all 60if's contents are reliable-but, the basic comparisons started to hit me little by little. Then at some point-ya get the jolt- when it really kicks in-hey! that could REALLY be a different guy there! After a night or two of looking I remember going to bed and getting kinda emotional-thinking about what could've happened to JPM. It's actually a bit shocking looking at some post 66 pics such as the Life mag photo, etc.-the mind just says-wrong guy!-imposter! creepy Now about 99% of the time I think I can spot Faul pretty easy. Though some pics are close for sure. So anyway-Hi!

Hi, Ramone ! With me, I watched the Shakespeaerian Sketch & it floored me. If you haven't seen it yet, here it is :
As I was watching that, my mind was telling me that it couldn't possibily be Paul McCartney. My mind had been conditioned that Bill/Faul was Paul. My heart sank, as my mind tried very hard to grasp what I was seeing. I don't know if I ever mentioned this before, but I cried for 24 hours straight when I realized that the person I had thought was Paul was not the same sweet guy in this video. That's when I became determined to try to find out what happened to the real Paul. I have been in this fight for over 5 years now. I will continue here until the truth finally comes out...

Hi everyone, thanks for all the welcomes. Yes Mommybird I've seen that video. To me, the videos may be more important than some pictures. The night before video as well as help itself, along with a hard Day's night are powerful. Compare these videos with later ones and it's easy to see a contrast. A perfect example would be the David Frost interview and the LSD interview later on. I was at my friend's house with my laptop. His daughter came in at one point when I was looking at this stuff, specifically pictures, on the net. I asked her to look at pictures, and asked if she thought the pictures on the left (JPM) was the same guy as the pictures on the right (Faul). She said no-she took about two seconds to see that. She's in her teens and so she doesn't seem to have a preconception. I don't think she's really into the Beatles. So, Faul probably wasn't burned into her brain image wise. CF, thanks for the welcome-I'm curious, was it hard or easy for you to distinguish between them? And I just have to ask, who is your friend in the Avatar ?

At first, it was more difficult. I don't think it was difficult for me because I didn't think that it appeared that there were two different people, because I could definitely see that; I think it was so difficult because I didn't want to believe it. I mean, I had grown up with my dad and sister constantly playing the Beatles and had grown to completely love them all of my life, so it was a real shock to think that something like that could be possible. I didn't act on it, though, because it was still a bit too hard for me to accept. I think about three years ago, I got more into this thought and started to do my own bit of research here and there. Then, about a year and a half ago, I was doing some late night internet Beatles browsing on YouTube. While doing this, I remember coming upon some Paul is Dead video and it once again sparked my interest and I then was doing so much reading and listening relating to the mystery in all my free time. I started browsing 60if, although I do think some of the stuff is a bit loco. I never registered, but I have read so much from there! Then, I don't even remember when but it wasn't too long ago, I found this place. Sanity is more common and the people here are completely lovely and absolutely brilliant--every last one of them! So yeah, I'm here now and now I can't imagine not being able to tell Faul from Paul.
Wow, hello life story. Sorry, I'm a bit longwinded and bad at phrasing things, especially when I'm tired. ;D
As for my avatar, that's my dog, Sunny, when she was a puppy. She's a yellow Labrador Retriever. In that particular picture, she's gnawing on a Clarice (from the Rankin-Bass Rudolph movie) slipper. Thank you for noticing! ;D

I have experienced the same exact thing. In fact, just last night I showed photo comparisons to my daughter's friend's boyfriend. By coincidence, his name is Paul. He pointed out differences to me without me even mentioning them. Differences with the chin, ears, and eye shape ( & color ). He's 21. The kids can tell the difference right away. When this 1st became my passion, I was posting photo comparisons one day. Another friend of my daughter was watching me on the computer. I asked her if the photos I had just posted were of the same man ? She immediately said, no. That it was definitley two different people. So I said, "It's such a shame that everyone believes that this guy ( pointing to the imposter ) is the real Paul McCartney". Her response ? " Who's Paul McCartney". Now that opinion has to be the most non-biased one to date ! ;D

Yes mommybird unbiased indeed. If you had two pictures of an apple that were copies you are not comparing two things in reality. When people look at faul, because his image is embedded in their brains, they tend to make a comparison back to faul again. After all, he's been around for 40 years. The true comparison of course is to keep bringing in the image of pre 67-the true J. P. M.- different apple. Many people tend to forget what he(J. P.M) really looked like-so they keep saying ''of course that's Paul''. It's the same guy. But photographically or mentally the original Paul needs to be there for the true comparison. It's a continuous mental exercise for while-at least in the beginning. My sister is an artist and she looked at some photos. At first, she said-yes that's the same guy. I asked her to look at the photos from an artist perception. The more she looked the more she saw differences. Then after awhile she said ''oh (expletive)! She began to see it. An artist will try not just to see ratios but hopefully the person behind the eyes, the personality. Well anyway, I think she's rethinking her original conclusion.

Hi coconut, did you mean to say in your post that you started to see differences on your own? Or was the idea presented to you at some point then later on started to look into it more seriously?
PS, one of these days you should post a picture of sunny the grownup version

Yeah, I noticed differences just looking at some posters and pictures, really, but didn't really do anything about it (no research) because I didn't want to believe something like that could happen and just thought I was crazy for seeing differences. I didn't REALLY do any PID research until I saw a video via YouTube that made it obvious that other people noticed that Paul looked different throughout time. This is where I was introduced to the theory that Paul Is Dead. But yes, I noticed the differences on my own at first. Sorry that my first post was so inarticulate; that's me at three in the morning after a long day of packing! Here's Sunny evolution: Baaaaby Sunny sleeping. Aww. Little Sunny, about four months old. Sunny at Christmas time, eight months old. Recent Sunny, probably taken in June when she was fourteen months old. She's my ginormous baby. ;D

This struck a chord with me. My dad, who sadly passed away last April the 3rd, was an artist. I showed him the comparisons & he did the same thing. Except with him, he saw it right away. He pointed out to me the differences in the head & facial dimensions & that of body type. Anyone with an artistic eye/bent should be able to see the differences fairly easily. I'm glad that your sister is coming around. ;D
Coconut, Sunny is adorable !

Hi Mb, sorry to hear about your dad. I guess the artists eyes have it. I like art. Mom and dad met at art school. If they didn't- then no me. At least that's part of the equation. I'm pretty good at stick figures and not much more in the drawing dept. Maybe I just need lessons-alot of them.

Hi coconut, that's pretty amazing that you started seeing the differences on your own. But beyond that started thinking of the implications. My guess is that most who see differences let it slide by and don't bring it to the next step in thought. Thanks for brightening our day with pics of sunny!

Ramone, my dad's grandpa was a semi-famous artist. It skips a generation. I'm about with you as far as stick figures go. My oldest daughter got ALL of the artistic genes. She draws, writes prose & poetry, sings, plays guitar, piano, violin & recorder. She even takes creative photos using our digital camera. I guess the talent had to land somewhere. ;D

As for photos, I think a lot of people actually see the differences. They are just afraid of being crazy and 'out of the norm', even if it is only themselves knowing.
At least that's what I'm thinking.
