While there are many discussions on the pics from the film comparing Bill with JPM and clues in the film regarding JPM being replaced.
But I remember the body language between the members of the band.
With the exception of the band performing I am the Walrus, and the scenes when they were wizards, and the white tuxedoes in the last scene. I don't recall the Beatles all together interacting in the film.
Ringo was around his Aunt Jesse.
Faul was either with that starlet, or the dwarf, or by himself.
George and John were sitting together on the bus, in the cabaret.
There was no chemistry like in A Hard Day's NIght or Help. IT was more a focus on the cast of characters that were travelling with them, and the places they went.
Thinking about it now, it is as if it was symbolic that the members of the group were just in name only, but they were not really working with one another or interacting like a "group".
When the film opens, it appears to be a Ringo movie...Ringo with his aunt, and most of the dialogue is between them, and Buster. The other characters are not really acting, just part of the group of tourists on the bus.
Faul is in his own little world...wandering around as the Fool on the Hill, and on the beach with the dwarf.
John and George talk with the little girl Nicola..
Just seems like a fractured world without JPM.

Welcome back, Pennylane. I wanted to ask you where you got this quip:
I find it interesting that John said that.
Anybody else notice that Bill is saluting with his right hand in that scene from MMT ?

Is Bill saluting Sgt. Pepper?
Is that a normal British soldier's salute? OR is it some masonic secret salute?

He'd have to put one hand on his heart for it to be the "hailing sign". (see this thread) Well.. No one does the obvious stuff right out there in front of the cameras anyway.

I am perplexed.

Faul was either with that starlet, or the dwarf, or by himself. A child star, a man child,* a childish man. *not to be taken as any sort of ridicule of little people.
