Why, the sheep-gatherers, of course!!!
Anyone have a better answer?
Wait, it's not, shepherd, is it?
Sheep may safely graze.

Do I see that in the "anmals" shot of "I Am the Walrus", that George, Paul, and Ringo all have "white" fleece adorning their alter-animus, while John's wooley exo-skeleton is all black (the blacksheep of the family? Who's feeling a little self-depricating there?) Mary (mother) had a little lamb whose fleece was WHITE as snow........
And the animal choices? Hippopotamus? (water resident) Walrus (water resident, only moreso), rabbit (well George!) and what the hell is Ringo wearing? Is that a falcon head, or bird of prey? Is there an organized symbology to this or are we left in limbo? Great Gadzooks John has FLIPPERS for hands, no fingers! That's NO way to play the piano! Thank God its all pre-recorded.
Could we play "Drive My Car" on the piano with flippers? And his walrusian "appendages" are outstretched in jubilation. What are you telling us John? What? What is it? And a WHITE piano? Outdoors in the sunshine? How hot was it that day? (or chilly?) How out of tune did that piano get by the end of the video shoot? Did the soundboard survive the ordeal? Were the rental people unhappy when it came back? John Lennon, I hope you were very cautious with that pino-forte that afternoon/morning/whenever.
And what on God's green earth do the white swami turbans mean? Gleaming apparel, alabaster diadems----an almost biblical image. A whole row of Maharishis.............its a "maharisheerow" And what of the stone ediface behind them-------its time I purchased a copy of MMT...............or, the Anthology.................hhhmmm..............my birthday is approaching..............mom wants to get me a "big" gift.......hhhhhmmmmmmm..........

During "I Am The Walrus" Faul changed a Rickenbaker BLACK bass with a Rickenbaker cream coloured bass with "that" bloody pattern on.

OK< taking a look again at the Beatles in sheeps' clothing pic from above, I see that the line-up of swamis in the background are all poking their necks and heads through ONE huge, continuous sheet. There are neck holes cut-out in this sheet for all these heads. These "swami" extras are in their street clothes, underneath, judging from the tell-tale collars etc. at the neck area. This in itself is not remarkable, except that it is funny to see 13 people all dressed up in a white sheet. That is what we are seeing. (One head is obscured by Paul, but shoulders ae visible.) Their heads are wrapped like recovering brain surgury patients.
A "3" is much more discernable on the bass drum head.

Faul with the "bloody" bass Faul with the "black" bass IMO these photos prove that at this stage in his development, Faul couldn't play the bass. How can anyone play bass with the neck pointing to the floor? Hello goodbye also shows this if I remember correctly.

Sheep? What's the name of people who gather sheep? I forgot... Bill the Shepherd Man......He's as wooley as his sheep. This sheep thing, was this Bill's profession before he became Faul? Was he "fleeced" into taking the job as Faul? Was Bill really just Shepherd in name? We are poor little lambs who have lost our way.... Baaa, baaa, baaa....

Strange...a hippo dressed with a sheep fur.... Here with that bloody patterned bass again... Another "bloody pattern". Why ALWAYS the same references? Hmmmm I've never seen a hippo with fleece...but maybe this was one of those strange scientific/ genetic experiments gone bad.... Or maybe their budget ran out of sheep's heads, so they just stuck a hippo head on him.... Is there some deep significance with a hippo? Some religious connection from strange belief about a part hippo part sheep god? Like the gods who have part human part horse body? Or a head of a bull but a body of a man?....

[/quote] I thought the Walrus was "Paul"... why was John dressed as the Walrus? Or...is the Walrus a better pianist than bassist? Speaking of bass playing, notice how the hippo holds the bass....not anything the way JPM held a bass!
