This is a clip from The New York Times, Jan 23, 1967, page 29. (In case you wish to verify) Does anyone remember this being out there this early? Was this "plan B" perhaps??

God ! What's that? It's the first time I hear of that. Around that time, when Brian Epstein was still alive, the relationship between the Beatles was still good, so why should Paul say that? Two options here: Or it's something the newspaper invented, or it's a real knockout !

Yes, like, we are breaking up while being commited to work together.....
If I took jobs this way, my employers would freak out........pretty much it has to be, "Oh, yes I'll be there with bells on...." and then call when I'm on the way......ambivalence? Or loaded meanings?
It's never simple around here.

I never heard of a movie by Paul shot in France. I thought "The Family Way" was shot in England, and he only supplied the soundtrack for that.

It's all very interesting. According to P/Faul here, the Beatles would be soon be done. Three years later, he was the only one that was working hard to keep it all together.

No idea here either, when he and Mal traveled together to Africa and Spain, Mal of course shot some home movies as we have seen. Not sure if they went to France. Either way, it's just home movies. Previous to the NYT article, on Dec twenty something I believe, they were all denying strenuously that they were breaking up. Then they are breaking up a month later, all the while they are recording Pepper? Makes no sense.. [img src="http://galeon.hispavista.com/akostuff/img/Dunno2[1].gif"]

I was just going to post a new acquisition, the KYA Beat from San Francisco from 2-11-67, but I saw that Jan's scan was exactly what I had, even the layout. Just curious, is this the paper you have, or was it reprinted in another paper in Holland? Just for the fun of it, a cover from another KYA Beat, Jan 31, 1966: Almost like a newborn Paul? Oh and the movie in France was most likely the shooting of A Fool on the Hill.
