wow.. these are great.
wow again to Penny Lane.. it's quite obvious to me that it's neither Paul or Bill.
And as for Walrus.. how clear is the Paul is really dead at 4.17 and then the creepy 'deeeath' that follows.
And I think I might now what your saying about Hello Goodbye.. but I too don't want to bias anyone

PL told me what she thinks it might be, and yeah, she's on the same page as me. That repetitive stuff at the end of Walrus does sound like what it's been said to be all these years: "everybody smoke pot". Or.."everbody jump up" or make another guess, you can't be sure really. I feel like there's something else buried even under that, it's as if it's on a shelf that I can't quite reach. Actually I think it's the line from King Lear, "oh untimely death" that precedes the creepy "DEATH!" Interestingly, they sent Ringo to fetch tapes of the broadcast from the BBC vaults, it's not that they happened to have the radio on and recorded it on the fly as is commonly believed. (They talked about it on one of the LIB Nagra tape rolls) This version of Penny Lane leaves me more uncertain than ever as to who sings lead, not less..I hear John for certain as one of the voices when the backing vocals come on, who else is there, I can't discern. Check out how if you look from left to right at the pics on the cover, it's like a fade.

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what you guys hear in the "Hela, heba helloa" part, and I seriously give up. I think I've got a vague notion, but it doesn't really click in my mind, so I'll just shrug my shoulders and relent.

Sounds like they were maybe saying Hey Bill, and they chopped all but the "B" off in editing.
Sorry, that's all we were thinkin'..

Sounds like they were maybe saying Hey Bill, and they chopped all but the "B" off in editing. Or you could be manufacturing a clue... But I do hear what sounds like Halo instead of Hello.

Yeah, halo is what I was referring to vaguely hearing. But I still think it's just gibberish spawned from "hello."

That repetitive stuff at the end of Walrus does sound like what it's been said to be all these years: "everybody smoke pot". Or.."everbody jump up" or make another guess, you can't be sure really. I remember reading a Lennon interview in which he said it was "everybody's got one." Got "one" what, a double? Hmmm. That Lewis Carroll. Reckon' old Dr. Winston O'Boogie was writing an acrostic in the style of Lewis Carroll when he wrote the lyrics to, for instance, "I Am the Walrus? www.everypoet.com/Archive/Poetry/Lewis_Carroll/lewis_carroll_four_riddles.htmI know this thread is about "remixes", and really the Beatle remix guys mainly. I do love those recordings! I think they are brilliantly creative tributes and very enjoyable listening. About Penny Lane,, gosh that is so tricky. Yes, Lennon's voice is in there, off and on, blending in, but so is a very mysterious voice, just like Hello Goodbye, and it's the great skill of the blending and mixing (thanks to Sir Geo. Martin) that makes thoses vocals work well, smooth, appealing, but also very difficult to place in spots.......... I do not yet hear Denny Laine, though I admit I have not tried hard enough or listened to enough of his solo song vocal work to get a Denny Laine "audio picture" in my ears. Denny Laine is not in my ears yet! A line or two makes me think of JP, and line or two sounds like William, but stilll that somehow doesn't seem the whole answer..... Blended like a Berry and banana shake. Several flavors, one taste. Though now and again Lennon's voice sticks out like a .....sore banana----but nonetheless one with a peel. One with a peel? Maybe that is what Lennon meant, everybody has one---WITH A PEEL! Everybody has a banana. But we are also told that everybody has something to hide except he and his monkey. Between the acrostics and the monkey business, Lennon has me flat lost. His ratings are down, Gosh he's slipped on a peel. Stop me. Stop me now.Or, just give me a banana. One for the old gipper.

You don't by any chance have all of these tracks do you JoJo?
There are a few I'd really love to hear, including "The best of Ringo drum mix" because i'm a big fan of his drumming.
