(These are comments I made in another thread that are not really germaine to that thread. I am using them here to open a new thread specifically about Apollo.)
I am undecided on PID/PIA. I am an open-minded truth seeker. There is no doubt that radical things took place circa 1966-1967, and that the message "Paul is dead" is communicated both verbally and visually over and over again from that point forward.
However, The Beatles, being filled with mischief and double meanings, might intend something other than the literal death of Paul McCartney.
Ever notice how it is always "Paul is dead," or "I buried Paul?" You never hear "McCartney is dead," or "I buried McCartney."
Is it possible that Paul McCartney is a convenient symbol for some other Paul, or something that is Paul-like in some way?
I have speculated before, in connection with Lennon's comment about Jesus being OK, but that Jesus' disciples ruin it, that maybe "Paul is dead" is all about Apostle Paul, and Paulian Christianity being a dead-end path to enlightenment.
Instead, there is another Paul - Apollo, the sun god, the god of music and of shepherds and sheep. The god who slew the serpent of ignorance (Python, #83, Sgt Pepper) with his spear of light and truth.
Clues to Apollo abound on Sgt Pepper and in the lyrics.
1) The hyacinths. Apollo created the flower we know as the hyacinth from the blood of his mortally wounded friend (and gay lover) Hyacinthus, whose head was accidentally crushed by Apollo's discus.
2) The guitar. The word guitar derives from the Greek kithara, which was Apollo's instrument. The guitar on Sgt Pepper is made of hyacinths.
3) Paul's rugby trophy. Apollo was the god of athletics.
4) Here Comes The Sun; Here Comes The Sun King; I'll Follow The Sun; Good Day Sunshine; Good Morning Good Morning; The Inner Light.
5) Apple Records = Apollo Records? (Also plays on apaul, meaning without Paul).
I'll post more inferences to Apollo as I think of them, and as I find new ones.

Apollo is associated with the Golden Ratio, (or Golden Section or Golden Mean as it is also called), which is the number 1.6180339887... (With unending decimal places, so we will call it 1.618 for short). This number is worth me explaining. If you don't already know about it then get ready to have your mind blown.
Look at the Fibonacci sequence: (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ...) In this sequence each number is obtained by adding the two numbers before it. If you keep doing this, after about 20 or 30 times, you reach a point where each number in the sequence is 1.618 times bigger than the number before it. So instead of adding the two last numbers to get the next number, you could just multiply the last number by 1.618 and get the same answer as you would get by adding the last two.
This works even if you don't start the sequence with 1 and 1. You can choose any two numbers at random to start the sequence, even fractions and negative numbers, and after you get about 30 numbers into the sequence you end up with each number being 1.618 times bigger than the one before it.
Now we move to five pointed stars, like the one on Sgt Pepper. This is the perfect symbol of the Golden Ratio, and therefore of Apollo. If you imagine that the star is a person standing on the floor with arms outstretched and legs apart, then the height of the head is 1.618 times the distance from the crotch to the floor. The distance between the feet, when multiplied by 1.618, is equal to the full distance between the tips the fingers. Every line segment in that pentagram is proportional to every other line segment by some power of 1.618.
If you draw a line on Sgt Pepper, using as a guide the cor anglias that Paul is holding, and extend it to the top of the album cover and mark that point, then the part of album cover to the left of the point is 1.618 times bigger than the part that extends to the right, and 1.618 times smaller than the full width of the album cover. (The same thing works if you extend the line to the bottom of the album cover, only the size of the right and left halves is reversed, so the right half is 1.618 times bigger than the left half).
In other words, the cor anglais marks the top and bottom of the Sgt Pepper cover at Apollo's Golden Section!

Did you ever think about this: "Apollo = the god that brings the light\ light bearer " ?
How would you translate in Latin "light bearer"?

Did you ever think about this: "Apollo = the god that brings the light\ light bearer " ? How would you translate in Latin "light bearer"? I will quote John J. Robinson, from Pilgrim's Path. Lucifer makes his appearance in the fourteenth chapter of the Old Testament book of Isaiah, at the twelfth verse, and nowhere else: 'How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!'
The first problem is that Lucifer is a Latin name. So how did it find its way into a Hebrew manuscript, written before there was a Roman language? To find the answer, I consulted a scholar at the library of the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. What Hebrew name, I asked, was Satan given in this chapter of Isaiah, which describes the angel who fell to become the ruler of hell?
The answer was a surprise. In the original Hebrew text, the fourteenth chapter of Isaiah is not about a fallen angel, but about a fallen Babylonian king, who during his lifetime had persecuted the children of Israel. It contains no mention of Satan, either by name or reference. The Hebrew scholar could only speculate that some early Christian scribes, writing in the Latin tongue used by the Church, had decided for themselves that they wanted the story to be about a fallen angel, a creature not even mentioned in the original Hebrew text, and to whom they gave the name "Lucifer."
Why Lucifer? In Roman astronomy, Lucifer was the name given to the morning star (the star we now know by another Roman name, Venus). The morning star appears in the heavens just before dawn, heralding the rising sun. The name derives from the Latin term lucem ferre, bringer, or bearer, of light." In the Hebrew text the expression used to describe the Babylonian king before his death is Helal, son of Shahar, which can best be translated as "Day star, son of the Dawn." The name evokes the golden glitter of a proud king's dress and court (much as his personal splendor earned for King Louis XIV of France the appellation, "The Sun King").
The scholars authorized by ... King James I to translate the Bible into current English did not use the original Hebrew texts, but used versions translated ... largely by St. Jerome in the fourth century. Jerome had mistranslated the Hebraic metaphor, "Day star, son of the Dawn," as "Lucifer," and over the centuries a metamorphosis took place. Lucifer the morning star became a disobedient angel, cast out of heaven to rule eternally in hell. Theologians, writers, and poets interwove the myth with the doctrine of the Fall, and in Christian tradition Lucifer is now the same as Satan, the Devil, and --- ironically --- the Prince of Darkness.
So "Lucifer" is nothing more than an ancient Latin name for the morning star, the bringer of light. That can be confusing for Christians who identify Christ himself as the morning star, a term used as a central theme in many Christian sermons. Jesus refers to himself as the morning star in Revelation 22:16: "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."
And so there are those who do not read beyond the King James version of the Bible, who say 'Lucifer is Satan: so says the Word of God'...." So there you have it. The word is Lucifer. Bring On The Lucie. -j

Could the Beatles, making references to Apollo, mean Lucifer?

As u could understand it was a rhetorical question... So, what do you think of this Apollo\Lucifer connection? Could the Beatles, making references to Apollo, mean Lucifer? I'll quote Lennon...
Bring on the Lucie (Freeda Peeple) John Lennon
We don't care what flag you're waving We don't even want to know your name We don't care where you're from or where you're going All we know is that you came You're making all our desicions We have just one request of you That while you're thinking things over Here's something you just better do Free the people now Do it do it do it now
Well we were caught with our hands in the air Don't desapir paranoia is everywhere We can shake it with love when we're scared So let's shout it aloud like a prayer
We understand your paranoia But we don't want to play your game You think you're cool and know what you are doing 666 is your name So while you're jerking off each other You better bear this thought in mind Your time is up you better know it But maybe you don't read the signs
Well you were caught with your hands in the kill And you still got to swallow your pill As you slip and you slide down the hill On the blood of the people you killed
Stop the killing now Do it do it do it now Bring on the Lucie
That last line sounds like a wordplay. On the one hand, Lucie, short for Lucifer, the light, and on the other hand it sounds like "loosing," as in bring on the loosing of the people that are in bondage. -j

Lennon was changing his mind about every ten minutes...
If I'm not wrong, the song is from 1973.
I was asking you if it is possible that the Beatles, making references to Apollo in 1967, meant to make them to Lucifer.

jarvitronics, You may not be aware of how much Apollo has been discussed both here and at TKIN. Beatlies has mentioned the Apollo space program. It came after the Gemini space program. The Gemini flights were Earth orbiting missions, and so, in a sense, "Earthbound", while the Apollo missions represented mankind as space travelers, or "space men". Paul was a Gemini. He would symbollicaly be "Earth Man", but Bill came after, representing the "Space Man" version of "Paul". There were rumors that Paul's dead body had been secretly sent into space in the booster- stage rocket that the last Gemini mission, Gemini 12, had used to practice space docking. If you haven't read through the sadly mangled thread at TKIN called "Paul Is Found...where?", I would suggest that you do so. It is a gem, in spite of the fact that it was badly "edited" by a would-be editor, and I, and others, withdrew many of our own posts in it in anger. It doesn't flow the way it once did, but..... 60if.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=document&action=display&thread=1106732995&page=1 Anyway, the Apollo 12 mission is symbollicaly painted on the cover of the Moody Blues album "Days of Future Passed", and what does it show? The "birth" of humanity as space travelers, both male and female. Some have suggested that a female may have accompanied Paul into space. I don't wish to overwhelm you with a completely mind-blowing story, but if Paul is alive now, it's fair to say he may not always have been between his Beatle days and the present. In addition to all that, there was a poster to both TKIN and here that used the name Apollo C Vermouth. His favorite Beatle phrase is: "There's nothing you can see that isn't shown."One thing he wanted us all to be shown was the story of Apollo and Hyacinthus: www.online-mythology.com/apollo_hyacinthus/He felt very strongly that by knowing the story, one could gain an insight into the nature of Paul's replacement. I could say much more, but this will suffice for now.

Paul was a gemini, meaning twin. I still think that's a symbolic pointer to our mystery. Maybe getting a little O/T now, I've been in love with the most beautiful girl in the world for almost 9 years now. Sadly she is a bit crazy, doesn't see her beauty and likes to hang around in the underworld. Once in a while we have good contact but she always flees when things get to sirius. In early 2001 she abruptly broke off all contact, it later turned out she had a very bad boyfriend and was scared to tell. After months of silence we met again at the afternoon of 911, when it was 9am in NYC. That was the end of her relation with that evil boy. That boy was a gemini, so the twin towers also fell in a very personal symbolic way to me. My love's name is a derivation of Mercury, messenger of the gods, having me pay special attention to the Mercury symbolism since. For years now I have followed the work of Goro Adachi, who puts together current events, astronomy, important art etc. to detect the underlying patterns of our reality and where we are going. Too bad he is a little paranoid and now publishes most of his works only for paying subscribers. Here is his site, hope to get some direct links to his best works later. www.goroadachi.com/etemenanki/He's been making a huge deal of Sunking figures..like the pope, Arnie and also our John and Paul. I especially like his observation about our last pope being called John Paul. And where does our TKIN Sunking come from...Italy. Hope to add some more later All Love Jan

very interesting that it was the Gemini 12 mission.
In tarot 12 stands for the Hanged Man
12 is also the number of disciples WITHOUT JESUS
12 is the clock...the illusion of finity
Card 13 stands for death/rebirth, and why do TPTB want to make us scared of that number
Don't even get me started about our disruptive 12 month calendar

Check the thread on Shake-speare. Hey there TI. The only thing I know for sure is that I don't know anything for sure. I have an open mind. McCartney may have been replaced. He might even be dead. But I have seen no concrete evidence that he is dead. I have only heard speculation. I also have an open heart. That means I am easily fooled, so I exercise due diligence and keep my own counsel about what to put my faith into. Words are just words. What do they really mean? I can not put my faith into Paul is Dead. Even if he was replaced he could still be alive and well. I simply don't have enough information to draw a tenable conclusion. That is why I am seeking. I have seen pretty much all the clues and heard all the arguments. I have even identified and shared a number of clues on my own that nobody had ever seen before. What do they mean? Can't say. It's a mystery. -j

The poster, who went by the name of "Moped", posted this image which he claimed had the dimensions done correctly. I printed this one out, and darned if it's almost on the money, maybe off by a millimeter or two, so perhaps I was off in measuring, don't know.
