I always wondered about all of the weird voice clips buried under the noise in Only a Northern Song. People have used vocal overdubs found in "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Revolution 9", and "I'm So Tired" as evidence proving that the band even admitted that Paul was dead in their own songs. But what about "Only a Northern Song"? This song is an often overlooked, somewhat obscure Sgt. Pepper reject that even the most die hard of Beatles fans sometimes forget about; a song that George Martin delayed the release of for two years, despite it being one of the earlier recorded songs of the Pepper sessions. So I ran the song through some filters to hopefully make some of the more obscured sounds more audible. What I found was a clue that I can't believe has been under our noses all this time. Listen closely to the clip below. It occurs at 2:47 in the song, right there with the trumpets blaring and everything, George says: Our poor Paul's a cadaver now. www.geocities.com/judeisdead/cadaver.mp3 ca·dav·er[/b] Function: noun Etymology: Latin, from cadere to fall : a dead body;Further on into the song....At 3:08 George seems to be saying "Later, as usual" with Ringo singing "Wherever...you may roam" in the background. But reversed, it's far more interesting. For the sake of fairness, I don't want to say what's being said in the clip, because I don't anyone saying that they heard only because I had to suggest it first. www.geocities.com/judeisdead/InTheMeadow.mp3But on the other hand, no one will bother downloading an audio file if they don't know what it is, so skeptical minds skip past what I write below if you don't want any preconceived suggestions in your head before hearing it: George: He is dead, it's him! Ringo: Paul's in the meadow.

Believe it or not, this was brought up before somewhere. If I wasn't burning up with a 102 degree fever, I'd attempt to do the search....

To my knowledge, I'm the only person who has brought this up. I brought it up over at the The King Is Naked. Nobody seemed to care there, either... *sigh* If these aren't new clues, then I have nothing to be sad about, because everyone else already knows about these two clues. However, if these are new and yet so many days pass without this thread ever getting noticed by anyone (people rather talk about Klaatu and the Sgt. Pepper cover, I guess), then maybe, just maybe......Paul is dead is dead.

I just did a search of "cadaver" through 500 posts. Nothing came up other than this thread.

I just did a search of "cadaver" through 500 posts. Nothing came up other than this thread. The trick to using the Proboards search function is to set the number of days back as far as possble, not so much the number of posts.. Previous postBut yes, it was you at TKIN, so it comes full circle.

I doubt it's that anybody doesn't care--we all care! I am very interested in what everyone has to say, I just don't always have something to say back to them, you know? (Especially when I don't hear anything at all related to what they're saying because of my own issues!)

I'm just trying to contribute something to the Paul is Dead scene. There are a lot clues that I find that probably are really only clues to me because they are things that probably only I see or hear. But when I find something that I think is definitely there, I get excited and I want to share it with everyone...when no one seems to hear it and replies saying "hey, I think you found something", it's kind of a let down. Anyway, thank you for your kind words!

Absolutely, and we all definitely appreciate anything you may find! You're very welcome, not a problem at all.

Jude, I would love to listen to those clues. Unfortunately, I'm posting this from a Ronald McDonald's House family room in a Children's Hospital. Behind me on a couch is a mom with two sleeping kids. I don't want to play anything outloud, & chance waking them. The suspense is killing me ! I'm going to have to wait until I get home from here to listen to the files !
