According to the "official" Beatles history, Paul was spending Christmas at his father's home in Cheshire. On Tuesday, December 26th, 1965, he crashed from the moped he was riding and suffered a five-inch cut to his mouth. In 1964, Paul asked his father to retire. He was then earning ten pounds a week. Paul also suggested that he move into a nice house ‘over the water’ and bought Rembrandt, a detached house in Baskervyle Road, Heswall, Cheshire, for £8,750. Jim was remarried on 24 November 1964 to a widow, Angela Williams (her husband Eddie died in a car accident). Over the next ten years Jim became crippled by arthritis and had to move to a nearby bungalow. As a result, Paul bought Rembrandt back from him. I've always wondered if Bill took care of Jim the same as he would've his own da. I've heard some hair raising stories. [img src="http://galeon.hispavista.com/akostuff/img/Dunno2[1].gif"]
