Sometimes things are just coincidental. Just because my passport number ends with 666 doesn't make me the Antichrist. Sometimes things are just coincidental. Just because dividing my passport number by my birthday gives 666 doesn't make me the Antichrist. Sometimes things are just coincidental. Just because the letters in my name add up to 666 doesn't make me the Antichrist. Sometimes things are just coincidental!!! How loud do I have to sing it? -jb

3 strikes and you're out, Baalzebub! You've learned the tales of totem lords And dogmen of the dark Who pine on plans for branding paws With some infernal mark The pitch is of conspiracy A knotty new world scam To lodge upon the serious One counterfeit I AM The wag is that the six-six-six As plaintiff soon will stand To court the planet to the pit Where whining whelps are tanned He is a seedy neobeast A sewer: peel to core Who aims to shoot us down to heck And cane us--evermore So how about we stem the piss Before the mutthole barks? Elect me to the post instead And root up all the sharks! You haven't got a plum to lose I'd call 'em straight and nice I wouldn't crack a single skull If I were Antichrist Now if I can just get my tongue unstuck from the inside of my cheek... -j

And since you are not descended from the crowned heads of Europe, have ties to the Illuminati and is the first born of Queen Elizabeth...Not the Prince of Wales and not known as the Dark Prince...and not married to Camillia, you're not the Beast.... Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, Brian Boruimhe, John "Longshanks," and the Merovingians are all in my family tree. Charles isn't qualified to be The Antichrist, because The Antichrist is supposed to rise out of obscurity; so whomever he is, you have never heard of him... Unfortunately I have no ties to the Illuminati, so if they want me for the top job they are going to have to ask nicely. -j

WTF are you talking about!? (Rhetorical) Hey PP. I initiated this thread to illustrate (rhetorically heh) that not everything that looks like a clue is a real clue. It got sort of silly from there. -j

Without looking that up, I can safely guess that you're referring to "turn the other cheek". While I can't disagree that it would be the better thing to do, I can't help but point out that it's very annoying, as a Christian, that any time you are defensive of your faith or are merely sticking up for your own self---what most people would do---it's only minutes before someone tells you "hey, what happened to "turn the other cheek"?. Look, I'm not some kind of monk who has dedicated himself to praying 24 hours a day and being hyper-spiritual and abstinent from all anger. I don't know if that's what you think a Christian should be or that anyone of my faith claims to be so spiritual, but I'll be the first to admit that I have a bit of an anger issue. I get angry at people who just seem to be naturally geared towards hostility towards Christians. Did I do something wrong to Mellow Yellow? No. But he kind of just called Christians "fanatical" and the anti-Christ something of their own making. It's easy to make fun of what you know little about. Am I being too defensive? I don't think so. I think nine times out of ten it's Christianity that gets targeted. Not any other major religion. And it's usually by trendy young liberals who think it's cool to make fun of "out-dated", "laughable" Christians and to blame them for a majority of the world's problems. I've been told all sorts of things before....that I should "turn the other cheek", and that I should "get off my 'Christians are an oppressed minority high-horse'" (which is ironic, considering that no one who considers themselves an oppressed minority can by any definition be on a "high horse"). I'm just sick of it. Forgive me for my ranting, but this is just how I am. It could have been an offhanded remark about homosexuals and I still would have been this defensive. What's wrong is wrong, and I stick up for the wronged, even if the person wronging had no idea how offensive his remarks seemed. Any time you mention a specific group, a religion, a sexual orientation, whatever---and don't take into account that this is the internet and all those people who are inclusive to said groups post on forums like these---your words will be scrutinized. That said, if I ever offend your or anyone else, let me know ASAP so I can make it right. And just so I can call it ahead of time---I know I'm probably gonna get hell for this post. I probably came across sounding to extreme. But whatever...you got to say what you got to say as long as you say it sensibly and responsibly.

People are offended by words. How weak is that? Every ethnic and religious and philosophical group deserves to be made fun of. The more we do it and laugh out loud the more we realize there are no words worth being offended over. Say whatever you want about me or how I think or what I do. It's all good. If you physically mess with my people or my stuff I will f*ck you up. Get the difference? That said, if I ever offend your or anyone else, let me know ASAP so I can make it right. Okay. Now is a good time for me to take you up on that. I am offended by people who are easily offended. Bwahahaha. -j

Yeah, wouldn't last too long at this if I gave a fig about what others say about this PWR pursuit, one doesn't have to travel very far on the internets to find the derisive remarks. Whatever, but we decided we didn't need it within the "walls" of the board, as it disrupts everyone's train of thought. I agree in principle with what you are saying, but most need the passage of time to develop a sufficiently thick skin to deal with the harsher stuff.
