Well I tried it out on the Let It Be cd, both original and naked. I timed stretched and pitch shifted, no luck. Perhaps your version is different, or maybe the vinyl (which I don't have) would work? Dunno..

I have the old 45, and also the "1" CD. I'll have to listen for myself. Whoever posted this was able to digitally bring out the whisper. It may be quite difficult to hear in it's normal state.

Someone named Beatsonsgirl84 wrote on youtube:
Actually someone is whispering "Stop John" because he's giggling through the song. (He asks Paul "Are we supposed to giggle in the solo" at the beginning of the version on Anthology 3). Not a very good "clue" at all.
Someone should tell her the whisper sounds absolutely nothing like "Stop John", but very clearly is "Paul is Dead"! As for giggling, I don't have a copy of the song--someone else want to whether this is so? Obviously the girl thinks it's a joke. But even if there was giggling, I don't think it negates the clue.

Absolutely true, Joey. I have an outtake of Strawberry Fields Forever. You can clearly hear someone say " I buried Paul". They enunciate each word. There is no question as to what they are saying. If I'm not mistaken, they say it two or three times in a row !

I never would have picked that up!

Very cool. What processing software do you use? I have a hard time pulling sounds. I'm working on some "McCartney" stuff that is so deep in the mix I'm having difficulty seperating it.
