Just something I wanted to bring up..........
Since we have now discovered that James Paul McCartney was actually bald, could that baldness have been a symptom of a mortal illness that he may have had?
Also, could his baldness may have also been related to any related treatments he may have been going through?
Paul just wasn't looking well in those last days of '66.
Maybe he had a fatal illness, knew about it, and helped along with the replacement procedure.
Since there are all types of clues BEFORE THE FACT, this might make some sense. Just an idea.

madtitan, I don't think that Paul was actually bald. I just think that he was going prematurely bald. That's not the same thing. Since that was going on well before 1966, I don't THINK that it had anything to do with illness. I wouldn't be surprised if all the drugs that he took to cope with his lifestyle sped things up a bit. Can excessive drug usage facilitate premature baldness ? As far as clues before the fact go, I think that they might point to Paul leaving or wanting to leave the group. I believe that he was less than enchanted with the direction his life had taken.

From the baldgate video smoking gun of JoJo, JPM's Paris Beatles concert wig-flipping, we can see that he was/is severely balding --no hair except perhaps on the sides all the way to the top of his head and over to the back some way still bald --to the point where he could be termed "bald" vs. balding, with maybe hair on the sides and back; bald is an ambiguous word. You do not have to be completely Kojak bald with no hair at all to be "bald," not to get into linguistic nitpicking and hairsplitting.
JPM was NOT using mind-damaging drugs as heavily as the other Beatles --apparently he never took LSD, and he seems to have had multiple health problems:
Baldness (not an illness but maybe a symptom) Bell's palsy --could be a symptom of epilepsy Severe myopia --there were rumors he was going blind He seemed mentally "not there" at times, could be associated with petit mal epilepsy or psychological illness Irritable Bowel Syndrome according to TKIN In 1966 his face became fatty and bloated and his mannerisms and voice softened in public beyond their already slightly effeminate qualities ---this could be a side effect of prescription drugs and they are characteristic of a sharp increase in female hormones. His chipped front tooth and beaten-up face

Not to nitpick, but my son has had Bell's Palsy & he does NOT have epilepsy. Also, I never thought that Paul's voice or mannerisms were particularly effeminate at ANY point of his career. If he became bloated in 1966, maybe it was because he wasn't taking care of himself properly. If he was as stressed out & unhappy as I think he was, gaining weight & caring less about his appearance could've been a result. You need to listen to Paul's voice on the alternate Rubber Soul album. While rehearsing Think for Yourself, he has a little tiff with John. You can clearly hear Paul's true accent & voice. He had a very deep, rich accent. He almost sounds Scottish. It's like saying that Sean Connery sounds effeminate I believe that the song " The Word" is about orange sunshine, LSD. Since both Paul & Johnny take turns singing in that song, I can bet that they wrote it together. They wrote it together to describe how they BOTH felt about orange sunshine. I think that Paul took LSD also. Maybe not as much as John & George, but I'm sure that he did his share of it. Let's face it, if you're feeling ill you're not going to want to trip. Since Paul was more medically fragile than the others, it would make sense that the number of times that he tripped were less. I have severe myopia. I have had it since I was about 11 years old. I have had my glasses adjusted over the years, but I do not consider myself going blind. As far as Paul seeming, " Not there at times ", maybe he just wasn't feeling well. Maybe he had a bad headache or migraine. This photo was posted on the From the Sea of Green Forum: Taken while they were in the Bahamas during the filming of Help !!!

I never heard of Bell's palsy or IBS link to baldness.
Trauma can cause hair loss, severe stress and anxiety, not only to cause hair to go white, but to fall out.

Tavistock henchmen messing around with relatively early-model devices designed for EMF-based psychotronic harrassment would explain both bowel distress and balding hair. (And Sutcliffe's exploding brain.)
Regular and constant use of cannabis would have helped JPM alleviate these symptoms.

I'm sorry to say it, but I do think that is totally possible T.I.
You're right about the cannibis helping with the symptoms. I'm sure that Paul noticed this, although I don't know if he understood the mechanics of it.
