Yes, I check out 60IF once in a while and I saw that thread. Anyone reading should check it out for all the still images that are posted there. It is one of those unmistakable pieces of evidence. And during the press conference they are even asked about using doubles, and how they get beaten up in the US, and how they can't go to a movie at night because everyone knows what city they're in... They wouldn't admit to using doubles, even if they were using them, so I suspect they did have them, even if for the sake of security reasons and such...

I'm on board with the idea of using security doubles, ones that fool you unless you are close up. (and maybe not even then) Yes they deny using them, but that makes sense from a security standpoint, you don't want to tip your hand.
Doubles taking on the task of being interviewed as if they are one or more of the Beatles? That seems pretty risky, and to what end? IMO the LA interview featured the genuine articles, as did the SF interview.

The first YouTube video, from Memphis, shows, to my eyes, JPM, and that is what I would call unmistakable... Compare that interview to some of the post-Pepper shots or videos and that is where you see a change. Just pause the video at random points to see a variety of angles, the 60IF forum has some still captures.

I think that the thread on TKIN was seeming to (I can never be real sure) assert that the LA interview Paul was a "Faul".

Sun King wrote: Referring to "Last JPM interview 1966?" thread on "Paul Was Replaced -NIR-" forum JoJo did (this time) a BIG mistake.
He has published that link:

telling that interview was before the Candlestick Park (on Monday August 29th 1966).
ACTUALLY that interview WAS ON AUGUST 31th 1965
As reference see: www.geocities.com/~beatleboy1/db1965.0831.beatles.html
Please JoJo correct that disinformation.
ThanksDone. Sorry, the DVD I had didn't date it, only claimed to be about the events surrounding the Candlestick Park concert. I'll admit there is something slightly "off" about the stills from the Aug 1966 deplaning, and perhaps a really good double was used for security reasons. The LA press conference though: if something happened to Paul unexpectedly just a few days previous, could the others carry on just as before? Doesn't this Paul look/act/sound like JPM?

I agree 100% Jojo. There is something funky about those deboarding shots, but the press conference is definitely Paul. When he fixes his microphone, he is most definitely left handed. If Paul had met with his demise I doubt that Faul would be able to walk into a press conference and command that level of confidence not to mention that the others would be visibly upset.

Here's another video, and I promise it's from 1966 - getting off the plane: www.veoh.com/videos/v965151YWwMK9HtAgain it's possible not only Paul but the others were doubles, we of course are just accustomed to focusing on Paul.. Before you think oh boy that's crazy, I only mean for the sake of security, as they chit chat for literally a minute before getting on a bus. Later, when the concert is to begin, they arrive at the park in an armored truck! Remember, because of John's "bigger than Jesus" remark, there were death threats, Ringo even said he used to hold his symbols facing the crowd in a pointless (he admits) attempt to protect himself from a possible gunshot. The real Beatles could have been still stashed in the plane, and after everyone ran after the bus, they could have quietly been taxied to some discreet location. Just a theory.. Here are a few stills from the video:

This has me wondering, if possibly, at some appearances, were there actually the real Beatles in concert or doubles?
With all of the hysteria, and the fact that their stage was far from the crowds in these stadium performances? Who would know? It's not like having a large screen image to show close ups for those who are too far from the stage to see them perform....
