This is footage from a dvd of material from 1968. I will be adding more as time goes on, but this section is material that I bet most haven't seen before for the most part. It consists largely of footage from India, and a little bit of the Apple press conference, but ahhh... footage from the 1968 appearance of John and Paul from The Tonight Show. The quality is pretty bad, remember, almost no one at the time had the means to record a tv show. No vcr's, no tivo, etc. Nope, some enterprising soul took a home movie camera and pointed it at the TV. Some other random person recorded the audio, and that's all we got. They attempted to match the two, and as you will see, didn't do much of a job. I thought of doing it myself, but it's way too much work, at least for now. Real encoded, 18 minutes, 50 MB. www.jojoplace.org/Shoebox/1968%20footage/IndiaTonightshow.rmThe Tonight Show Audio: www.jojoplace.org/Shoebox/TonightShow.mp3

Sorry DH, I set the permissions wrong, it should work now. As for the policeman comment, it's there on the audio only version.

How did all these old threads end up ahead of the most recent ones?

How did all these old threads end up ahead of the most recent ones? Because I felt a lot of these that were in general were more appropriate here. When you move threads between boards, they jump to the top of the line so to speak. (I was looking for something else, and while digging through these oldies I felt like a little housecleaning)

It's also helpful to revive some of these old threads from time to time. Some of the most substantial discussion occured near the start of NIR.
