Found this gem in my travels today, a PDF file of a book of mostly stills from the making of Let It Be. An awesome find for the fan of course, and of course for a gallery of Bills. The second pic on page 38 really IMO shows some way over pumped up cheeks. It's possible to extract from a PDF document with Acrobat Pro, let me know if it would be helpful for anything in particular. www.jojoplace.org/Shoebox/Get_Back_Book.pdf

I agree... whenever Bill was sporting "chubby cheeks" (and it wasn't often), they looked either ridiculously huge or not very uniform. They resemble brusing more than actual cheek structure.

Separated the whole thing into jpgs, and one thing I should point out about this ebook, there is a LOT of transcription of LIB dialog at the end of the book. Jpgs versionAlso: Bearded: Shaved off a couple or so months later: Hey Jude: I swore off photo comparisons a while ago, and yet there is something about "Jude guy's" left eyelid (our right) that doesn't agree with LIB Paul's.

Good work JoJo. LIB Paul's eyes are brown, and more drooping similar to JPM's eyes. Notice the teeth on the bearded LIB Paul.... Now, is there a shot in the Hey Jude where we can see his teeth? Noticeably different. How interesting!

t there is something about "Jude guy's" left eyelid (our right) that doesn't agree with LIB Paul's.
Probably had work done to soften that sharp angle.

The color in the Hey Jude video is so poor. Bill looks a little green around the eyes. Or the lighting was bad that gives that bad color. But that doesn't help the matter.
Something I just noticed, the LIB Paul has a wider face in the temple area. His face is fuller than the Hey Jude Paul. The middle shaven faced Paul has his lips pursed, and his jaw is down, so his face may seem longer.
Still seems like different men between the first and second pic and then the last one.

I have the LIB book. My dad gave me his original copy along with The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics. I'd been longing for copies for years and I waited patiently and was around at the right time before he gave them to a charity shop. Interestingly that there is the exact same waterstain on this copy as there is on my dads. I'd figured he's spilled some bong water on it but they must all be like that which leads me to wonder whether whether the stain occured when they were touching up the picture and they didn't have time to doctor another one. In my opinion the softened angle on the eyes is a result of a little black pencil around the eyes. They seem to do this in all the official Beatles publications (Beatles Monthlys, LIB, BIL all have this) which is very telling. Technically there eyes are very similar. LIB Paul has thicker darker lashes though and he has thicker, darker (and more importantly) real hair. The pursed lips is one of the Mountain Man giveaways, as is the open mouth as if he is unable to breath through his nose. I was waching LIB again last night (great movie IMO) and 'Paul's' musical abilities are rather impressive. He plays guitar, bass and piano very well and with such confidence. He tears it up on the piano when they're jamming 'Shake, Rattle and Roll' and yet a few months earlier he's incapable of jamming with the other three Beatles on a musical interlude on the David Frost show. He then mimes his way through the song and yet in the LIB movie he performs all sorts of songs live and with a different sounding (and very obviously trained) voice. And a very strong voice. The vocals on the live version of 'Hey Jude' are much weaker and have been double tracked in parts to make up for that.

Just another illustration, a still from the movie. But what the heck is that strange thing over his right eye? Only appears in a couple of frames, maybe just a glitch, but odd.

JoJo, that's an interesting pic, it looks like plastic surgery gone wrong, if you would look at from the point of view of just seeing a pic of a man.
That was one strange "glitch" to leave in a film. You would think in editing that someone would have touched up the pic due to bad lighting, etc. Poor quality film that was used in filming the picture, or bad work in restoration of a film. One would think that due to the historical significance of that film, it would have better care in restoration for future generations.
This is disturbing to look at because it does look like someone with some hideous facial damage. That is if you take it out of a film and use this as a picture. Do the other frames around this have that same look to it?

To answer your question, this is typical of other surrounding frames, as far as his appearance is concerned.

Hmmmm, that's interesting. Mountain Man had cataracts in his right eye and a fat lip.
Perhaps this is why "Mountain Man" didn't get the part of Paul Mc Cartney.

Mountain Man did get the part of Sir Paul and is annoying people to this day. I read that LIB is getting a proper release on DVD. Anyone know any more about this?

The DVD release of LIB was announced some time ago, but seems to have been forgotten or abandoned by Apple.

It's weird isn't it? Because it's clearly going to be economically viable, plenty of people will buy it.
Could there be more clues in it that we have missed?

Maybe it's Mountain Man's corny acting they don't want us to see. There are three parts where MM 'reminisces' about the old days with The Beatles. One where he's talking about writing 'One After 909' in the early days with John, another where he talks about watching the footage of The Beatles in India (I'm fairly sure that's the other guy in India) and another time he's talking about playing live in the early days. None of the other Beatles do this. It's kinda funny and pretty obvious when you know. Nice ear attatchment shot in the 'Get Back' book (I always call it the 'Let It Be' book so apologies for any confusion in this thread.)

If you add cheek implants and a beard to "LSD" Bill, you get this man that looks like a different person. But it's the same person imo.

Speaking of economically viable, a two disk, cleaned up collection of their promo videos, and perhaps the music video portions of MMT would sell into the stratosphere.. And yet, all we have is the mediocre quality (at best) DVD's sold on Ebay, and of questionable legality no doubt.
