In New York, in its entirety, and this was around the same time as the "lost" Carson interview. I believe Carson was still out of NY at the time, so whatever look Bill (or whoever) had at the time is demonstrated here. This was the cresting point of the JPM appearance, no question. LINK

Hum, interesting reaction to Larry's final question. He begins, "In all the time you've been Beatles...", then Sir Faul gives a big old wink to the camera. Larry goes on, "before you were just Beatles from Liverpool," then both Lennon and Sir Faul snicker. Larry talks about the bubble bursting, but it hadn't yet, then John add that it "just fly off"... Lennon continues and talks about how they're both the Beatles and Apple, and makes a comparable analogy, "Dr. Jekyll and Mrs. Brown." Here, I think he was merging to "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson with "Mr. Bennett and Mrs. Brown" by Virginia Woolf. But it's such a strange combination that I wonder if he was trying to sneak past another clue.

This is the type of footage that would throw me off in the beginning. You know, when you're in that stage where you're not 100% convinced and for a moment you think you've been duped. This is perhaps Bill's best imitation. As JoJo calls it, "the cresting point of the JPM appearance."
But you can tell the difference in even this great of a performance. The eye distance is closer than JPM's and the face is more of a oval shape instead of a round shape. If you are having doubts after viewing something like this, the cure is to view some footage of Paul from 1963-1965. That's when you'll see the differences however subtle some of the them may be.
Thanks JoJo.

LINKAnother good vid, thanks for posting, Jojo! From one "look see"( or is that, "see, look?") IMO, it's for sure rich in things to notice. Must watch a few times. And, yes, Sir Paul seems indistinguishable from JPM for the most part.Actually, I can't really cite anywhere where he doesn't, from this one viewing. The left profile is perfected. Amazing! Just when it seemed you had discovered every piece of video and shown us.......wow, great. Thanks. I agree this is the period where "looking and being JPM" was pretty much mastered. Somehow with the bearded look of "Get Back" it seems he is working intentionally toward a new look, perhaps a more adult look, but I guess, away from the iconic Beatle look as much as possible. Hmmm. Well, me thinks that would have happened anyway.

Flew off and became free as a bird...........Flying........across the universe...... I'll Follow the Sun.......... It's making Paul sound like Flash Gordon.
